In 1865, following World War II and the end of slavery in America, Saint Peters reverted back to its original name -Nicholas-Jacques Conte City -and experienced rapid growth as a result of increased industrialization and auto production located nearby at Rolla and Mexico City Roads).In 1990, St . The roots leading up to St Petersburg’s current form can be found primarily through Reverend Nicholas Jacques Conte himself who arrived here from France just after independence had been declared on May 24th,1801 AEDT (the date that Missouri officially became a state). At first he settled down near present day Rolla under some trees on what would become known as “Conte Place” – later renamed “Washington Avenue” due mostly because Mr President James K Polk gave final approval for it – but soon decided he wanted his own place where he could preach Christianity amongst all those around him! After much reflection upon how best To accomplish this he came up with two main concepts: 1) build an orphanage specifically designed for children Apostolic Birthright Christians who were either abandoned or poor enough not able or willing themselves to educate themselves 2) start a school specifically For boys and girls aged 7-12 years old So that no child ever goes hungry or illiterate anywhere else!" A very short time later (on Oct 25th AEDT) Nicholas Jacques Conte organized what would become known as “The First Parish Church Of Saint Petersburg” right outside Of Rolla on land donated by Dr John Cargill – one hundred acres adjacent To rolla now home To many businesses such As Gartner Paper Company!). From That moment On Father Nicholas Jacques Conte began preachinTo everyone who would listen! Every Sunday morning He started out preaching Inconvenient Times sermon featuring teachings like: How do you know if someone is truly saved? What good does God want us To do? Who are we really called TO be? And so forth…..And people loved It! People crowded In front Of His pulpit every Sunday morning eager To hear All That This Father had planned For Them……….Which included things like getting baptized FREE OF CHARGE & having Your First Holy Communion Free too!!! Not only did This Father have LOTS OF AUDIENCE But also VERY GOOD PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP WITH SOME OF THE GREATEST PREACHERS IN WORD TODAY INCLUDING JAMES K POLK Himself…………..So It Can Really Be Said THATFather Nicolas Jacques Conte DID Create Saints Petersburg!!"
