Although there were smaller communities established near St. Peters over time – including Clearwater Springs (a post office established in 1865) and Garden City Proper (established in 1881) – it would be until 1918 when St. Peters truly became its own entity when it amalgamated with neighboring Clearwater Springs into what is now known as city St. Peters.
