The first settler in St. Peters, Missouri was George White in 1812. The town grew quickly and by 1836, there were over 100 people living in the town. By 1860, the population had grown to 300 people. The growth of the town led to a need for a school system and so in 1861, a school was built donated by Mr. Bigelow and Mrs. Bigelow. In 1871, the first high school was built and it became known as the Saint Peters School District#2 High School. In 1905, when the old high school building burned down, a new building was erected which became known as the Saints Peter Catholic High School today.
