One such firearm was a muzzleloader called the Peacemaker. This weapon used muskets that werefired with paper clips as ammunition. When this weapon was implemented into warfare it quickly became very successful against enemy troops because it could be reloaded rapidly due to its single shot nature. When muzzleloading pistols started becoming more common in America during the late 1700s they began to be produced in larger quantities than ever before because there were demand for these weapons from both law enforcement and militias across the country. Due to this increase in productiongun manufacturers began to put together specialized magazines made just for muzzleloading pistols so that shooters could easily get their shots off without having to worry about reloading time or having insufficient ammo available on hand

St. Charles, Missouri was founded in 1836 by the Father of Missouri, James K. Polk. The town was named for Saint Charles Borromeo, an Italian cardinal who had traveled to America in 1803 and helped found St. Louis. The town became a small community located on the east bank of the Missouri River, about halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City. It grew rapidly due to its natural resources: coal, oil, and grain were all mined in the area. In 1862, when Union General Ulysses S. Grant attacked the Confederate forces under General Robert E Lee at Pea Ridge Battlefield near St. Charles, Missouri, many residents fled to nearby Jefferson City because they believed that Confederate General John Custer would fight against Grant instead of surrendering his army after being surrounded and forced to surrender at Gettysburg Heights. The town lost much of its population during World War II as a result of military service or relocation to other parts of Missouri or Illinois; however, it has continued to grow since then due to new development along Route 66 and other highways that have attracted businesses and jobs in the surrounding area
The first white people to live in St. Charles were the French settlers in the early 1800s. The area was part of Jackson County until it was organized as St. Charles County in 1819. The first courthouse in St. Charles was built on Market Street in 1824. The county seat moved to Jacksonville from St.Charlesville in 1827 and remained there until 1937 when it moved back to St.Charlesville, Missouri afterJackson County was dissolved and absorbed into Scott County The town of St.Charlesville began developing around a gristmill founded by Daniel Boone in 1799 and became a thriving agricultural center with cotton plantations, sawmills, and other businesses during the 19th century During the American Civil War, several battles were fought near or within miles of St.Charlesville including Battle of Cairo (1862) and Battle of Franklin (1865) In 1924, Saint Louis merged with other cities to form the city ofStLouis, Missouri which remains its current metropolitan area
