Reverend Wade dedicated Our Lady of Victory Chapel with services on December 12, 1954 and opened it for worship six days a week. On July 1, 1956, Our Lady of Victory Chapel became an all-boys high school known as Notre Dame de la Salette High School until September 2008 when it reopened as girls' Holy Cross High School after being closed for over 50 years due to lack of enrollment.? Reverend Wade continued his dedication to parish life until his death on October 25th at the age of 86 years.? In 1957 Rev Dr John Hynes assumed leadership over our parish? Father Wade conducted religious services at Our Lady Chapel daily until his death.? Father Hynes served as interim pastor from 1957-1960 while Reverend John Dye filled that role.? From 1960-1966 Father Hynes directed our parish through theological studies which culminated in becoming ordained a priest? As pastor emeritus he continues to support our parish financially.? We have had sacraments celebrated here since 1964? Our Lady Chapel has been used for marriage receptions numerous times both inside and outside its doors? weddings are also celebrated every Christmas season at Our Lady's Rectory across the street from Holy Cross High School? Holy Cross also houses various social organizations including Soup Kitchen; Mothers' Auxiliary; Girls Interact Club; Knights Of Columbus;; Yearbook Club;; Dance Group;; soccer team;; summer concert series???
