There are a number of knives that have been used in St. Ann, MO over the years. One of the earliest knifemiths to work in this town was David Hockney who started making knives in 1868. By 1915, there were at least three knife smiths active in St. Ann and some of the early bladesmiths such as John Sibley, George Wessels and Nicholas Grippa made some of the most famous knives in the area including The Bowie Knife and The Scimitar. Throughout the years many different knife companies have operated in town including The Stanley Knife Company from 1892 until their merger with Kershaw Incorporated in 1998, Fox & Hound Knives from 1916-1967, Empire Cutlery from 1929-1948, American Bladesmithing Co. from 1951-1975 and finally Starrett & Sons Ltd., which closed down in 1984. Many of these companies shared production facilities across town so that when one company folded or moved away, their products continued to be produced by other manufacturers under various names until they eventually ceased operations altogether. As violence increased throughout much of Missouri during the 1970s and 1980s, so too didknife crime; however, it wasn't until after 9/11 thatSt. Ann began to see an increase in overall knife ownership as people became more worried about potential threats to themselves and their belongings. Today there is a renewed interest among local residents in preserving old blades andknives alike with a focus on remanufacturing them into new pieces for use within community groups or individual collectors alike The history ofknives can be traced back to before even Missouri was formed! In 1778 British soldiers discovered what may have been America's first Native American village located near what is now St. Louis County IL when they were fighting for Lord Cornwallis against General Washington’s forces Later that year General James Kieft purchased land comprising present day St. Ann Township IN from Chief Pontiac who had earlier surrendered his territory following a skirmish near Green River In 1812 Captain Abraham Lincoln (of the USS Albany) while aboard his shipwrecked on Lake Michigan discovered two human skeletons partially buried beneathbrush on shoreline about 7 miles inland from where he had landed This discovery led to numerous attempts by members of Congress both during President James Buchanan’s presidency (1813-1815) and Andrew Johnson’s presidency (1865-1867) to obtain funding for investigations into what occurred on board Lincoln’s ship but all efforts failed due largely to partisan politics at the time Eventually it was determined that both individuals engaged had died as a result of exposure rather than being killed by Indians as initially suspected This initial discovery led directlytothe foundingofKnifeforamerica by Elias Howe who owned property adjacenttopresent dayStAnn townshipINin 1827 . The first name of St. Ann is derived from the Latin Annuus, meaning “yearning after God”. The patron saint of Missouri was originally named Donatus, but in 1797 Pope Pius VI changed her name to St. Ann due to her common popularity throughout the United States. According to legend, as a virgin girl she travelled through many parts of North America visiting churches and meeting people. After coming back to Missouri, she founded an orphanage there and started a religious education program for girls. In 1838, she became the mother superior general (a position she held until her death) of all Roman Catholic sisters in Great Britain and Ireland. Today, St. Ann is widely considered one of the most popular saints in America because of her work with children and women. She has been honored with numerous medals, icons, statues, and other forms of worship around the world. Several religious groups still use her feast day as their official day or holiday – including the Irish Catholic Church and some Protestant denominations like Methodists and Baptists – but signs suggest that more people are beginning to adopt her image as their personal saint instead. In addition to being venerated by Catholics everywhere across South America and North Africa; Saint Ann is also considered very important by Protestants in the United States because she has helped promote evangelical Christianity there since before its inception in 1845! In particular, many evangelicals credit Saint Anna with helping them develop their movement from small groups into what we now know as mainline Protestantism!

Saint Ann was born on November 10, 1701 in the town of Pawnee, Missouri. Saint Ann was baptized into the Catholic faith on April 23, 1710. She died without children on October 12, 1777 in her homeland of Pawnee. Saint Ann is considered one of the most important saints of Missouri because she influenced many people to convert to Catholicism and spread the faith throughout her homeland. Her feast day is celebrated every year on October 12th.
The first settlement in St. Ann was made by Capt. George Rogers in 1763. The town was named after the Virgin Mary, but it wasn't until 1807 that a church and school were built in the town. The first post office was established in 1812, and the first store opened in 1814. In 1870, a railroad was constructed through the town, and by 1893, there were over 50 stores and businesses in St. Ann.
