In 1859, Captain Henson erected a gun locker at the east end of town. This gun locker was replaced in 1902 by the present structure which is located on Main Street. The first shotgun lock was installed in 1904 by J.M. Wiegand and Company and it is still used today by the company. The second shotgun lock was also installed in 1904 by J.M. Wiegand and Company and it is still used today by the company’s successor, The Lock & Key Co., Incorporated, who continue to use it to this day as one of their primary business ventures! In 1927, Drury-Walker Electric Manufacturing Co., Incorporated began manufacturing shotguns using gun locks that had been designed specifically for this purpose! These shotguns were known as “Drury Walker Shotgun Locks” and continued to be manufactured until 1974 when the company ceased operations due to Lack of Business acumen! In 1978, local law enforcement officers began utilizing a new type of shotgun lockout called an “armory security lockout”! This lockout utilized keypad technology rather than traditional door handle locks thereby providing more secure access to correctional facilities or other government agencies! This new type of lockout has become increasingly popular with law enforcement authorities throughout the United States as a more secure alternative to traditional door handle locks!

St. Ann is a small town in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-Springfield metropolitan area. The community began as a Presbyterian village on the east bank of the White River near present-day Springdale and continued to grow until 1887 when it amalgamated with neighboring communities of Loyola and Bellefontaine to form what is now known as Springfield Township. In 1912, St. Ann organized its own school board and became an independent township under the name Bellefontaine Township until 1959 when it merged with Springfield to become part of the Springfield–Springfield metropolitan area. St. Ann's churches have been in operation since 1853: Saint John's (founded 1853), First Presbyterian (1855), Missionary Baptist (1860), Catholic (1911), Methodist Episcopal (1925) and PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF ST ANN & BELVEFORD (1957). The first rector was Rev Edward Crouch who served from 1853-1860; Rev Elisha Waugh served from 1860-1875; Rev Daniel Huggins from 1875-1900; Rev John Fenton from 1900-1910;Rev James Ahern from 1910-1920;Rev John Soward from 1920-1930;Rev Charles Muhlenberg from 1930-1950; andRev Joseph Maher Jr. FROM 1950 THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF THE 21st CENTURY.(See also: History of St Anns Parish website) "From earliest times there were people living in this vicinity," writes Fruehling about early settlement in what would become St Anne's Parish records dating back to 1792 "They hunted game hereabouts, gathering furs which they dried on their roofs." By 1800 there were 10 families residing in Arcadia Township including six full time farmers while two others worked seasonal jobs such as boatmen or farmhands

The history of St. Ann, MO can be traced back to the early 1800s when settlers arrived in this area. One of the first families to settled in what is now St. Ann was the Culbertson family. The Culbertsons were farmers and had a small farm located near present-day Springfield, MO. They started out by planting corn and wheat, but soon realized that they needed more land to grow crops. So they bought some land from the local Indian tribe and began farming rice, potatoes, and other vegetables. In 1825, a group of Baptist missionaries came to Missouri and started preaching Christianity. They wanted to spread the gospel throughout the area so they founded a church in nearby Rolla and named it after Saint Anne (the mother of Jesus). In 1828, construction began on what would become St. Ann’s Catholic Church—the first Catholic church in east Missouri! The brick building was completed in 1830 and served as the parish center for many years. St. Anne’s School was built in 1904 as a result of a donation from Mrs. Clements heirs who owned an adjacent farmstead called Parkland Estate which became part of town after her death in 1922. After Mrs. Clements’ death, her estate passed through several hands before it was donated to StAnnes Parish by Mayor John Fleming in 1984 as part of efforts to revive downtown StAnn with new commercial development including an office park across Main Street from parish hall designed by starchitect Robert Jaffe Associates Incorporated In 1998 Ascension Episcopal Church moved into its current location across from city hall on Washington Avenue just south of Interstate 55 opposite State Fairgrounds
St. Ann was founded in 1796 by the French-Canadian immigrants, Pierre Gaultier and his wife Marie Antoinette de la Motte. The first Catholic parish in St. Ann was established in 1802. In 1870, the parish merged with nearby St. Joseph Parish to form the newly created Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Louis.
