On December 7th of that year (1907), Republic's first school building opened for students grades one through twelve with PTA support from Mrs. Jane Ransom and Miss Florence Leone as instructors; it was located on Second Street between Elm and Broadway Streets; classes began on January 8th of that year (1908).
