As of 2000, there were 1,631 people living in Raytown villages: 349 farmers with hogs or pigs; 535 non-farm workers; and 99 students attending schools within Village boundaries: 63 public schools (including kindergarten through 8th grade); 31 private schools (not included in the figures above); and 3 charter schools operated by religious organizations or other educational nonprofits
