The Raymore Firearms Corporation was founded in 1901 in Raymore, Missouri. The company produced a wide variety of firearms, including handguns and rifles. In the 1940s and 1950s, the company made pistols and revolvers under the names Colt 45 and Smith & Wesson Model 10. The company was acquired by Remington Arms in 1951. Remington Arms continued to produce firearms under their own name until it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1998.
Raymore is a small town in Missouri, located on the banks of the Arkansas River. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jackson County seat. The town was founded in 1828 by John Raymore and his family. The first settlers were Hardeman, Donnellan and other Protestant refugees from Kentucky who had fled to Missouri after the Third Kentucky War. The community name comes from a part of the river where they built their first cabin. In 1836, when Indian Removal began, most of Raymore came with it. Some families remained until1848 when all but six of the original settlers died in a flood that swept away their homes and barns. The town was named for General James Kiefer Raymore who had been killed in action during the Mexican-American War. He was buried at Fort Payne National Battlefield near Raymore. Raymore experienced several expansions during its early years due to wagon trade between neighboring towns along the Arkansas River which brought goods such as corn, flour and beans to market and created new jobs for local farmers. In 1849, an sawmill became operational and ray more people started working off-farm jobs supplying local businesses with lumber, hardware and other items needed for construction projects coming up throughout central Missourians drive westward during this time period including Springfield (now St Louis). A post office called "Greenville" opened in 1850; however it closed within two years because mail delivery services were improved by railroads then available in Missouri so no one wanted to deliver mail through what became known as "the ghost town". By 1860 there were only about 20 residents living in what is now downriver side streets east of Main Street while most residents worked on farms or took care of children at home if there were any left over from earlier settlement patterns when everyone went off to work seeking better opportunities back east or west across state lines experiencing political turmoil caused by American Civil War efforts back home not being supported by our Union brothers overseas doing things like building bridges instead! This led eventually to what we know today as downtown Raymore consisting mostly of former mill buildings dating back to about 1865 plus some stores/cafes/bars/a few homes erected since then folks have tried various things like re-establishing a school here since 1961 but it just doesn't feel right without those pioneer days where you could go out into town square on a day like this full sun wearing your best dress shoes (if you could find them) stop outside old Mrs J's bakery looking up at her newly renovated 3 story white frame house next door reality setter type strains trying not too hard to maintain an appearance that something might happen sometime soon maybe real soon somebody show up tell storyteller about early days memories will fade away... maybe one day some group or individual decides enough is enough ask mom or dad if they remember anything interesting happened while they were growing up around here?

Raymore, Missouri is a census-designated place located in southeastern Missouri. The population was 2,534 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by Reuben and Harriett Ray in 1873. They named their town after their father, Reuben Ray Sr., who had been born in Scotland and died near Raymore in 1868. The town grew rapidly due to its good location on the main road between Springfield and St. Louis. In 1906, the United States Post Office moved from nearby Lebanon to Raymore because of growing mail volume there. In 1955, a small dam was built at Paint Rock Creek to create an impoundment for cattle that had been grazing on agricultural land near the community since before it was laid out. This created problems for local farmers because they now needed to buy feed for their animals while also paying for water supply and other services required by the new dam. In 1984, a small fire destroyed most of thecommunity's infrastructure; however, some heavy machinery remained parked on Main Street until it was turned over to firefighters early next year due to damage sustained from previous years' blazes. A more recent issue has been related to construction work done on Route 66 just north of town which has caused some erosion along parts of Main Street which have not seen much daylight traffic recently; this could lead to street repairs being necessary as early as 2018 or 2019
Raymore was founded in 1828 by John Ray and his wife Charlotte. The town prospered for many years, hosting a number of businesses and residents. However, the Panic of 1857 destroyed much of the local economy and Raymore fell into obscurity. In 1872, however, a group of businessmen[1] decided to revive the town with new ideas and raymore became an active community again. Today, Raymore is a thriving small city with a rich history that can be seen throughout its streets and buildings.
