The first gun magazine in Raymore was started by a man named Nicholas Weiland in 1811. It was a small store located at the corner of Main and Market Streets. In 1892, a man named John Whetstone started a second gun magazine in town called the Western Gun Club. It was located at 5th and Broadway Streets. The Western Gun Club was one of the earliest gun clubs in Raymore. It operated from 1892 to 1912. In 1911, another man named Harry Nunn started a third gun magazine called the National Rifle Association (NRA). It was located at 351 Main Street. This club operated from 1911 to 1933. The NRA had a big impact on raymore’sGun Culture History! After 1933, it stopped doing anything major in regards to GUNS! However, it continued to publishing monthly Magazine issues until 1978 when it folded due to lack of membership

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,895 people, 765 households, and 553 families residing in the town. The population density was 692.4 people per square mile (269.3/km²). There were 828 housing units at an average density of 291.7 per square mile (121.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98% White; 0% African American; 1% Native American; 0% Asian; 0% from other races; and 2% from two or more races

Raymore was founded in 1821 by John Ray and his wife Deborah. The town was named for the two brothers who founded it- John, who came from a family of doctors, and Arthur, who had an interest in cattle. In 1827, the Missouri Legislature designated the townships of Raymore, Bellefontaine and Cecil as part of a new county. By 1830, there were over 100 residents in the three townships. The first courthouse was built in 1831 and opened to business on November 1. The early years of Raymore were difficult due to lack of resources and competition from other settlements in what is now Jefferson County. However, through hard work and determination, the town flourished over time. raymore's economy depended heavily on agriculture untilroads became available which led to increased stimulated commerce throughout the area thanks to railroad development. In1889, when Kansas Territory was created following Texas' admission into the Union as a state, Raymore became known as "the Gateway City" because it served as both an important commercial center for Kansas Territorial settlers and a stopping point for travelers heading northward into Minnesota or Manitoba. The city experienced rapid growth during this time with many buildings being constructed on both public and private property throughout what is now its downtown area including several churches that still stand today including Sts Peter’s Episcopal Church (founded 1865), Methodist church (1872) and Baptist church (1886). In 1951-1952 when Wichita Falls changed their name to Dallas after becoming an American city- much like Raymore had done before it- most people associated Dallas with its predecessor city due to its large population size at that time also similar architecture styles including Art Deco/ Moderne features common among many American cities at that time such as these along with Cowboys playing football games on government land just outside of downtown near Terminal Avenue which has since been renamed Love Field Today!

Raymore is located in Macon County, Missouri, and was founded in 1830. It served as the county seat from 1836 to 1868. The town was named after General James Ray of the Union army during the American Civil War.
