This process continued until blue laws were passed by local governments across America restricting how much ammunition could be purchased and/or possessing firearms was no longer allowed without a license which effectively ended all firearm sales within those jurisdictions outside of Dixie Gun Club Inc., one of several nationwide licensed retailers operating during this time period handling ammunition sales primarily for African Americans living on farmssteads throughout Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Texas). As recently as 1990 most Ozarkians still wore Rifles & Shotguns t-shirts featuring NRA members holding various types rifles & shotguns on display along with text such as "Ozarks got your GUNSfixin"

Ozark, Missouri is a small town located in the heart of the Arkansas Valley in western Missouri. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is adjacent to southeastern Jefferson County and has a mailing address of PO Box 748. Ozark's name comes from an Ojibwa word meaning "a place where trees grow." The first settlers in what is now Ozark were Mr. and Mrs. John Cramer who arrived on horseback from Illinois in 1834. They built a log cabin around 1840 and named it after their farmstead in Illinois, Ozark Township, not to be confused with nearby Osage Township which had been established about decade earlier by General James Armistead Magee as part of his Indian Removal campaign. In 1847, Captain Denton Fenton surveyed the area that would become Ozark and made known his intentions for its development: A post office would be erected here; flour mills would be erected; cattle drives would take place to bring fresh herds of cows and calves to market; lumber yards could be opened; schools could be built; churches established. The first post office was called Gallatin but was renamed Ozark on October 6, 1847 because of the then current location of Springfield (now Springfield-Urbana) within Jefferson County limits – just east of present day's village of Plainsboro within Osage Township boundaries – making it one stop away from most major city centers in central Missouri during this time period! The first settler children were born here around 1840 when their parents migrated south across the river following the opening up of Kansas Territory as organized America moved westward under President James K Polk’s administration following Mexico’s victory over Spain at Buena Vista Creek on August 16, 1846! As early settlers themselves they named their son or daughter after either one or both parents depending on whose side they were originally Born On (northwest corner of Main Street & Third Street). In fact many early residents Main Street actually ran east-west along watershed boundary line between this township & neighboring Plainsboro until platting out new townships & villages (& later counties) approximately 24 miles wide by 20 miles deep during this time period! A number of other pioneers also settled here including Methodist Episcopal Reverend Driggs Goodloe who arrived with his family from Tennessee via wagon train on September 9th, 1849 followed by others such as Peter Cooper*, Elijah White* & Job Littlefield* later that year just prior to Indian Removal efforts starting July 25th1854!! These people became known collectively as “The Old Migrant Men” due to their preference for long traveladventures rather than settling down anywhere quickly like so many other farmers/ Merchants/ Laborers had done during this era!! At least 12 families ultimately made it across Ellis Ford River into what is now northeast Osage Township (!), becoming known as The Settlers there!!! It should also be noted that even though much land remained unplatted throughout these years due primarily to disputes among various landowners over title issues ensuing from ongoing litigation surrounding various accusations/charges leveled against various pioneer groups traveling through these areas at various times!), eventually all or nearly all original Westfolk settlement locations located within present day Ozark today have been extensively developed thruOUTOUT THAT LOCATION moreover numerous landmarks/buildings situated therein have likewise undergone alteration OR ADDITIONAL NAME CHANGES etc., etc., etc., up until quite recently!! Consequently we can say without any doubt whatsoever that OUR OWN REAL Village OF ozARK was decidedly NOT founded HERE IN OCTOBER OF 1870 BTW !!!!!

Ozark, MO is a small town located in the Ozarks of Missouri. The population was 3,811 at the 2000 census. Ozark has been a vital community in this rural area for over 100 years and its history is reflective of that. The first settlers to what is now Ozark were white men who arrived in 1837. They named their new settlement after Osage Chief John Chivington and his party who had explored the area previous year. Chivington's expedition had discovered an abundant coal mine in what is now Arkansas County and heExcited about prospects for exploitation, these early settlers began exploring the area that would later become Ozark County. In 1841, five men - James Hays, John Kapp, George Armstrong Davidson, John Pogue and Moses Taylor - established themselves as farmers on land which they had obtained from Abraham Lincoln through purchase from the federal government. This land lay near present-day Springfield (then called Dixon) on the southern edge of what would eventually be Ozark County. At this time there were only a few farms scattered around central Missouri; most people lived on the east or west coasts of Missouri. Farming was an important activity back then because it provided food for those living close by as well as being an occupation that allowed people to build homes and own land. The pioneers in Ozark did not do very well because they started out with very little money and needed to sell everything they acquired to finance their explorations or farming ventures. However, over time some of these pioneer families became successful enough to buy larger tracts of land where they could grow crops and raise livestock while also developing their businesses outside of ozark until finally becoming fully self-sufficient within a few decades!
Ozark is a small town in Ozark County, Missouri, United States. The population was 513 at the 2010 census. It has been part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area since 2000.
