In the early 1800s, Neosho was a small town in southwestern Missouri. It was known for its rifle and shotgun manufacturing businesses. In 1835, a man named John Fenton started producing firearm shirts in his home-based business. The first rifles and shotguns that Fenton produced were made from cotton twill fabric and had no metal parts to make them fire correctly. He began selling these products at local gun shows and fairs. By 1840, he had built up a large Enough business to warrant his own factory in nearby Decatur, Illinois. Fenton’sshirt company became one of the leading firearms manufacturers in the United States during the 19th century. His products were well-known and appreciated by both consumers and lawmakers alike.

Neosho is a small town in northeast Missouri, United States. It is the seat of Neosho Township and lies on the banks of the Scioto River. The population was 5,856 at the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1868 by members of the Methodist church who named it after their parish in Scotland. The first post office in Neosho was established in 1870, and it remained open until 1908. In 1907, a railroad station was built there and served as the town's primary means of transportation for its residents. By 1920, Neosho had become an agricultural center with Operations Ranches being one of its main businesses. In 1925, Neosho became home to its first electric lights and by 1930 had also installed water heating systems. In 1984, Neosho voters approved a sales tax increase to support local government services such as education and public works projects. This measure helped fund development around thetown including new police stations, fire departments, a library/theatre complex, and more than 20 other improvements over the next few years. The current name given to Neosho today is "Nashville" because many people from Tennessee moved to this area during this time period while others chose to stay in their original homes or move to nearby towns such as Hollandale and Defiance while they awaited annexation into Nashville proper. Today's economy is largely based upon manufacturing with some retail businesses located within walking distance of most residents although online shopping has become increasingly popular over recent years due to less expensive shipping costs when items are ordered online than through traditional brick-and-mortar stores."
