Bipedalism has been present in the Moberly area for over 10,000 years. The first evidence of bipedalism comes from a human skeletal remains found in 1961 at the bottom of a well in the town. The remains belonged to an individual who had died when he or she was bipedal. A study done on this skeleton showed that it was not used for locomotion but as part of a ceremonial outfit. This suggests that bipedalism was more common than previously thought and that it may have been present even earlier than people believe. One of the earliest examples of humans using their two legs for movement came from Homo antecessor discovered in 1974 near Springfield, Missouri. This creature is known to have possessed traits resembling those of modern humans and has been dated back to about 2 million years old! It is interesting to note that this creature did not use any muscles on its arms or legs like we do today, which suggests that they must have used these limbs solely for movement. Despite these findings, there were still some doubts surrounding whether or not bipedality actually existed as a separate species before eventually being accepted by scientists as such during the late 1800s and early 1900s. It wasn’t until 1954 though that DNA testing finally proved that human beings are actually split into two distinct groups: apes and humans! This discovery helped change how we view our relationship with our closest relatives and helped validate claims made by many researchers throughout history about bipedality existing outside of our current understanding!

Moberly is a town in Phelps County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,591 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Moberly was laid out in 1838 by John Moberly and named for him. The first post office in Moberly was established in 1840, and the first store was built in 1842. In 1865, the town site was platted and named for General James Hutton Moberly by his son-in-law, David Lloyd Newton. In 1872, David Lloyd Newton donated land to build a school near what is now Main Street. The school opened on August 5th, 1872. Moberly's first mayor was J.C. Smith; its first vice president were Fenton Beasley and Wm Atherton; its first treasurer were Wm Hinton and Amos Silliman; its first justice of the peace were Geo Griggs (1873-75) and Elisha Holmes (1877-79). A new courthouse replaced the old courthouse which burned down on October 12th, 1886. The population of Moberly had grown to 2,000 by 1890 when it amalgamated with nearby Salina to form Salina-MoberLY municipalityality

In the early 21st century, Moberly experienced rapid growth as a bedroom community for Springfield Township and other nearby communities. However, development has caused some environmental issues with groundwater depletion and over-pumping of local wells that have made it difficult for the town to remain healthy and viable over time.
