Gun magazines have a long and varied history in Marshall, Mo. It was started by George Poulter and contained only 15 issues. The first rifle magazine in Marshall was the "New York Herald" which was published from 1912-1914. It featured ads for rifle cartridges and hunting gear. In 1915, the "Kansas City Star" started publication in Marshall and it quickly became one of the most popular gun magazines in town. It featured features on guns, ammo, fishing spots, etc. The editor at that time was John Witherspoon and his staff would often go into local businesses looking for advertisers or new readers to support their content. In 1924, the "Marshall Daily Tribune" started publication and it quickly became one of the most popular newspapers in town with its focus on local news and events. Its editor at that time was Harry Rankin who also founded the first Marshall movie theater back then! In 1951, when the paper merged with other papers across Missouri to form The Herald-Dispatch you could find articles about everything from politics to weather reports right inside your newspaper! It wasn't until after World War II when things really began changing with magazines becoming important tools for soldiers returning home from war! After 1945 there were more military families moving into town so there were more opportunities for magazines to hitthe ground running! By 1948 there were over 50 different mags being published statewide including some produced by small presses like Jerry's Gun Shop! By 1957 there were over 100 different mags being published statewide with 60% of them coming out of Missouri!!! Today we still see an intense competitive edge when it comes to publishing gun magazines as many publications are now oversized (or produced outside of Missouri) making it difficult for potential customers to get their hands on what they're looking for!!

The town was founded by settlers from Kentucky and Indiana in 1871, when they began moving across the Mississippi River into what is now eastern Missouri to escape religious persecution in their home state. Many of these early settlers were farmers; but soon after arriving in Marshallsville, they organized a local school district and built a number of homes. In 1907, they erected a courthouse and jail, which remain standing today. In addition to its downtown area where many businesses are located, Marshall has several smaller towns located around it: Bardstown (just east of the center of town), Clarksville (west of town), Dunkirk (southwest of town), Georgetown (northwest of town), Hillsboro (northwest of city limits) and Knoxville (southwest city limits).

Gun magazines continued to be popular after World War II until they were replaced by some new design of modern pistol magazine that became common during the 1970s through 1990s. Modern pistols now utilize disposable magazine designs that allow soldiers and civilians alike to carry multiple rounds of ammunition without having to worry about losing or running out of ammo.

Today, the town is home to a small museum and some of the last remaining homes from pioneer days. In 1903, President William McKinley was assassinated in Missouri. As a result, many people in Marshall turned against their president and many stores closed down. The town slowly recovered however, thanks to its strong economy and support from locals. In 1970, Marshall passed away within years of its founding with an estimated population of just over 500 residents.
