Manchester, Missouri is a city in the U.S. state of Missouri, and the county seat of Jackson County. The population was 131,527 at the 2010 census. The region that includes Manchester has been inhabited for about 10,000 years and provides evidence of prehistoric settlements dating back to 9000 BC. In 1836, Manchester became part of the then-new Missouri Territory and in 1847 it became a city when its citizens voted to secede from Jefferson County. One theory suggests that scopes were first used in Manchester during this time as sighting devices for artillery shells or other munitions; however, there is no definitive proof to support this claim. The first scopes made specifically for photography were created by an American inventor named Edward Siever in 1892. These devices utilized lens reflexes or mirrors to project slides onto small mirrors which allowed photographers to take pictures while they could still see what they were shooting at (the camera would track the movement of these slides). It wasn’t until 1923 that an electronic shutter was developed which allowed photos taken with early scopes to be stored on diskettes and later viewable on computers through “ enlarged views” commands issued through joystick buttons or touch screens
