Manchester, Missouri is home to one of the oldest target shooting programs in the United States. The program began in 1881 when two men, John A. Landis and Amos M. Butler, founded the Manchester Rifle and Pistol Club. The club was dedicated to practicing marksmanship and teaching children about this important skill. In 1922, the club changed its name to the modern-day Manchester Shooting Club. Today, the Manchester Shooting Club helps individuals learn how to shoot targets with accuracy and enjoy a recreational activity that has been enjoyed by people from all walks of life for over 120 years.

Manchester, Missouri started shooting target holders in the early 1880s. The first commercialTarget Holder company was founded by E.W. Caldwell in 1887. Manchester's first Shooting Range opened in 1895 and was located on Union Market Street. In 1896, Charles Lunsford became the first Municipal Shooting Champion in Manchester and shot a 149-yard target at his home on Prospect Avenue. In 1907, J.B.. Hagan bought the Caldwell Target Holder Company and changed its name to the Hagan Manufacturing Company. In 1916, Harry Morse began manufacturingTarget Holders for use by Pistol Clubs throughout America. Most of these pistols were chambered for 6mm Remington rounds which required special Target Holder adapters to accept those rounds, however some were also chambered for 8mm Parabellum rounds which did not require adapters though they sometimes exhibited other issues such as incorrect feeding results with certain types of ammunition that require more than one round to chamber (e.g., .45 ACP). By 1921 most allHagan Manufacturing companies had merged into two main companies - American Armory Corporation (AAC) and National Firearms Incorporated (NFI). AAC became known as the "Big Three" when all three merged into one company in 1934 under the name National Rifle Association (NRA).

Manchester is a town in northwestern Missouri, United States. The population was 7,609 at the 2010 census. Manchester is part of the Springfield–Branson Micropolitan Statistical Area. Manchester was founded in 1837 by men from Kentucky and Tennessee who came to the area to seek new land for slaves. The town's first post office opened in 1840. In 1848, Manchester became the seat of Stewart County, Missouri after it was organized from portions of Webster County. In 1861, when Kansas Statehood came into effect, Manchester became one of its seven original towns. The only other town in Missouri that gained statehood as a result of Kansas Statehood was Hannibal, MO. In 1865, while Union General William Tecumseh Sherman was leading his army through central Missouri on his "March to the Sea," he stopped at Manchester on his way north to battle Confederate General Robert E Lee near Cairo, Illinois. As a result of this stop, Manchester became one of only two Union-occupied towns in Missouri along with St Louis (the other being Carbondale). After the war ended and Union troops withdrew from those areas east of Memphis/Aurora Avenue (now known as I-70), much labor slackened off and business declined throughout most of northeastern Missouri due to an economic downturn caused by Reconstruction following the Civil War; however, some businesses did manage to revive during this time such as bookbinding company Houghton Mifflin Harcourt which moved its manufacturing headquarters from St Louis upriver into downtown Manchester after World War II; this helped lead to an increase in retail business starting around 1960 until 2000 when it all went outstripped residential growth; now there are only a few small restaurants located downtown and most people commute out or down I-470 for work The first school for children within range grew up outside city limits Kindergarten through 8th grade but soon enough there were elementary schools opening withinRange: Central Christian School opened in 1886; East High School 1904; First Presbyterian Church 1906; Sacred Heart Catholicelementary 1908; Holy Cross Roman Catholic Elementary 1912 2nd Baptist Churchopened 1912 Manchester had no water system until 1870 When George Washington Water Works System Incorporated began operations

The original target holders were designed to hold Reck's old guns. They consisted of a piece of metal with a hole in the bottom, and two circles that slid up and down to help keep the gun in place. These holders were popular for handgun shooters because they allowed them to shoot at targets from various distances without having to take their hands off the gun.

Manchester is a town in the U.S. state of Missouri, and the seat of Boone County. The population was 9,569 at the 2010 census, increased to 11,827 in 2013. It is part of the St. Louis–National Urban Area. The name "Manchester" comes from Englishman John Mannering who settled there in 1814. Manchester's first post office was established on October 15, 1826. Manchester has been home to several important events in its history - including the Battle of Chouteau (1863), which ended with a U.S.Chouteau Battlefield National Monument victory over Confederate forces; and Bloody Sunday (February 14, 1969) when three African Americans were killed by white police officers in downtown Manchester after demonstrating against racial segregation. In addition to its economic significance as a center for manufacturing and commerce during late 19th century America, Manchester also played an important role in American military history - such as hosting World War I airfields during World War II and being one of the original landing points for Operation OverlordOperation Overlord Memorial Park. In recent years, Manchester has experienced revitalization as a community hub with initiatives such as art walks and music festivals.

On October 15th, 1826 George Washington was inaugurated as President of the United States at West Point Military Academy & Museum located near present day Union Station.
Manhattan Transfer Station opened on May 1st 1922 between Second Avenue South and State Street - seating over 100 cars daily when it operated.
The Ford Motor Company built their Toledo Assembly Plant west of town beginning production on November 2nd 1949.
