In 1973 however, Arsenal Arms Corporation introduced a new version of the AR-15 called "the 7mm Remington Magnum." This gun featured a new barrel design that made it easier for users to hit targets at long ranges than earlier models while still retaining accuracy at close range. It also had an improved stock that gave it greater stability under recoil loads (similar to later model pistols). This newer model became popular among law enforcement agencies across America because it could handle higher caliber ammo than earlier models without becoming too powerful or glitchy (though some officials prefer older models due to their simplicity). Overall, this new model marked one major shift in how AR-15 rifles were being produced; from being chambered for 5mm NATO ammunition (used by most shooters) through 8mm S&W ammo (used only by competitive shooters) onto 10 mm Remington cartridges which is now being used by many professional hunters across North America!

In 1922, the United States Arsenal Co. was founded in Manchester, Missouri to produce weapons for the U.S. military. The armory was originally located on East Bronson Avenue and became a federally chartered corporation in 1923. In 1938, the armory relocated to its current location on State Avenue in Manchester and began manufacturing M-1 Garand rifles and shotguns. In 1951, the armory produced its first Semi-Automatic Rifle (SA) chambered in 5.56mm NATO rounds. As production of SA weapons increased, so too did demand for raw materials such as aluminum and steel from other businesses within the city limits of Manchester where the armory operated out of facilities until 1984 when it closed its doors forever due to budget cuts by then-President Reagan's Department of Defense.[2]

During World War II, Manchester played an important role as a major military base for both Great Britain and Ulysses S Grant’s Union Army troops fighting against Confederate General Robert E Lee throughout most of America east of the Mississippi River; this included northwestern Missouri where many men died or were injured during combat operations around nearby Cairo, Illinois just south of Manchester proper on October 7-9th 1862 under Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Banks (1793-1860) “The Red Cloud” Stevenson (July 17, 1865 – February 25th 1944), who later served as Mayor of Chicago while also holding various other civic posts including memberhips on several local boards which helped shape early 20th century Chicago into one of North America’s great cities with world-renowned attractions like Millennium Park just blocks away from downtown! As well as helping define key aspects such as public transportation system development areas like Jackson Heights – long before there was even a name for what we know today as Jackson Park (now part of Midtown Chicago) – central business district areas such as Government Center/Loop Business District/West Side neighborhood with its own light rail line right out front along Milwaukee Avenue through what would eventually become Lincoln Park; all while taking care not to lose sight or forget about our country’s service members who had given their lives defending our wayward neighborland! What could have been had those brave Americans never had to fight another day! For more than two centuries following its founding by American pioneers transported goods and people by wagon train overland across newly opened Western Kansas Territory until finally reaching Hannibal Ferry Landing southwest corner Of Old Manhattan Land grant On January 27th 1861 Major General James Hennepin Commanding First Brigade Eighth Regiment Missouri Volunteers established camp here giving rise To Our Present Name And Place Today !! Finally After nearly 2 full days travel intense discussions between councilmen chaired by Mayor Donny Youngblood with input from numerous residents primarily farmers sons mechanics families etc resulted In adoption Of A Resolution Authorizing Appropriations Of $1,500 For Town Hall repairs And ALSO Special Appropriation To constructs 2 X 12 feet High Well Doorway To Blockade Roads Which At This Time Was Still Required In Order To Residents anticipation rates Had Gt Over $2K!!! Nowadays You Canstill See Some traces OF That Daylong Battle From Across Third Street Just South Of Borderline park Right Up Against Old Post Office building !! During Those years Not One Penny Was Spent On Road maintenance And VERY little if any revenue went into treasury thereby causing tremendous fiscal stress & deficits beginning summer 2003 continuing thru 2009!! All This Brought About By People Who Wanted Something Done But Were Too Prideful Or Got diverted By Other incentives !! So I ask How Much longer will We BeWaiting For Something Better Cd Like A New Mayor OR An Appointed Committee TO Do Something About Our Streetscapes?!!!!!
Manchester was founded in 1838 by James K. Polk and his brother, Winfield Scott Polk. The town was named for the Manchester, England vote of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1837. The name comes from a claim that Manchester had the best flour in the area. The town grew rapidly during its first few years, becoming a major center for trade and manufacturing. In 1840, Manchester became one of the nine towns in Ancient Missouri Territory when it was organized as a county. The population of Manchester increased to around 4000 by 1850; however, it declined following theCivil War and only regained some significant growth after Reconstruction. By 1870,Manchester had shrunk to just over 1000 residents. It formally ceased to exist as an incorporated municipality in 1907 though it continued to exist as a unincorporated community until 1978 when it re-opened as an official city with its own police department
