In 1836-37 two small villages were established along Bulls Creek adjacent to modern day Ferguson Road: Beechcroft Township to the northeast and Maple Bluff Township to the southwest; these villages are no longer extant due largely to residential growth around Lake St. Louis since their establishment some sixty years ago! What little village infrastructure remains stands today as well as a few remnants from Beechcroft Township including a Methodist Church still standing on Franklin Drive NE; Maple Bluff Township still functions as a rural ZIP Code within Jefferson County today! During this time period many technological advances such as photography and cinema had been made possible that have forever shaped our world both materially and emotionally - such advancements cannot be fully appreciated without first understanding how they came about! When Union Pacific opened up its tracks linking much larger eastern markets with Chicago via railroads I believe we can really appreciate just how great things had gotten since those early days when folks could go anywhere they wanted in America! Consequently business opportunities increased dramatically especially because goods could now be shipped shorter distances utilizing improved roads while also reducing manufacturing costs!!! This truly was an amazing time Period !! During this same time frame too another major event took place that has deeply influenced all aspects of our lives - Almighty God chose Saints Peter & Paul Church from Independence Mo., USA specifically because He saw potential there!!!!! Today Apostle Paul Prendergast leads this congregation who erected one of America's first schools which eventually became SaintLouis University!
