Kennett is a small town in Buchanan County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. The name of the town is derived from Colonel John Kennett (1805-1881), an officer in the Union army during the American Civil War and one of its most successful commanders. The town was founded by General John Fenton in 1868 as part of a wagon train en route to St. Louis. It became a village on November 2, 1872, when it had a total population of 100 people. On January 15, 1907, Kennett incorporated as a municipality under the name "Kennett." According to the 2006 US Census Bureau report, Kennett has a total area of , all land. The climate in this area is characterized by hotsummer and coldwinter conditions with average monthly temperatures range from . According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Kennett has a humid subtropical climate; abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps). As of the census[1] of 2010, there were 1,752 people residing in the town. Of those 1,,752 were citizens of Missouri or U.S.-born residents living inside Missouri boundaries; 624 were Kansas residents or residents who are natives and have lived in Kansas for five years or more; 511 were people from elsewhere in Missouri; and 163 were foreign nationals.[2] As reported byMissouri’s Department of Revenue Administration,[3] business activity decreased from 2009 through 2011 because many companies have relocated their operations outside Missouri due to economic downturns throughout much of North America since then: “During that time frame we lost about $5 million dollars worth of business activities which impacted our local economy directly” (DORA).[4][5]) In contrast2009Figure 3 shows that businesses increased their payroll by 9% while used personal services increased 8%. In2011businesses operating within Moberly limits increased 10%. Overall employment levels are down statewide but up within Moberly limits where most recently new businesses have opened

These devices use pulsed (frequency) light waves to create an illuminated area or beam on demand. They have several advantages over traditional handheld flashlights such as superior durability, long life (>10 hours), low power consumption (<5 milliwatts), easy operation with one hand, and wide range of brightness (from faint to very bright). The electricflashlight has revolutionized law enforcement and military applications across many industries including security services, aviation, manufacturing, forestry/forestry/wildlife monitoring, hunting/fishing/camping etc., making them more efficient and easier to use while providing night vision or general illumination when needed

Kennett was a small town in southeastern Missouri until the late 1800s, when it became the center of a cotton plantation culture. The town is now known for its annual Cotton Festival, which takes place in early September. The festival is notable for its large number of handmade cotton dolls, as well as the market stalls that sell crafts and food.
The first people to live in Kennett were the Shawnees. The native Americans lived here for many years until they were forced out by the European settlers. The first white man to arrive in Kennett was Mr. Shattuck, who came in 1822. He built a cabin on the edge of the town and started trading with the natives. Kennett developed into a small town after Mr. Shattuck’s arrival, and it became known as a stop on the Underground Railroad. After several years of growth, Kennett grew too large for its original population and was split into two towns: Kennettville and North Kennett. The residents of NorthKennet wanted to keep their town small so that they could have more control over their own lives and economy, while the residents of Kennettville wanted to become part of larger communities because they saw it as an opportunity to make money and improve their lives. However, both towns eventually merged into one municipality when it was decided that there was no longer enough space left in either town to separate them properly.
