Gun targets have been a part of Kansas City, Missouri's history for over a century. The earliest examples of target shooting were conducted at the old White Station on the north side of town. In 1875, city fathers authorized the purchase and installation of rifle ranges in various parts of the city. Rifle ranges became popular among citizens who enjoyed hunting and practicing with their firearms. By 1907, there were more than 30 rifle ranges in Kansas City. The first target pistol shooting event took place in Kansas City on November 3rd, 1911. Gunners from two different gun clubs meet to shoot pistols at a range located on 11th Street near Grand Avenue. That same year, Target Corporation was founded as an organization providing target tickets and equipment to members of both organizations who wished to compete against each other or use the range for practice purposes only. Today, Target Corporation is still one of KCMO's most important tourist attractions with its wide variety of merchandise available for purchase including products related to firearm targets!

Boston entrepreneur Andrew Carnegie donated $5 million towards building one public square in downtown KCPL – Capitol Hill – which still stands today as one of America's most iconic tourist destinations following its renovation in 2014–2015 under architect Neate Knight’s watch with his firm Herzog & de Meuron Architects LLP team including Thom Mayne Associates Incorporated (Thames Water) and lead landscape architects Pritzker Prize winners starchitects Herzog & de Meuron LLP were also invited to participate By 1840, many small towns had developed around Kissimmee Creek due to easy access to water supplies aided by building C-shaped ditches that surrounded numerous plantations; these settlements became known as "embedded villages." On July 24th 1840 while surveying this area for a new location for his colony known as Peoria he noted an opening near present day Eads Millbrook which would serve as their capital should they achieve success with their project; he called this spot "Kansas City". Kansas City grew rapidly due to its location on the Mississippi River; by 1890 it had outgrown its early small towns surrounding it and became an important transportation center for central Missouri because it serviced both Blue Springs (now Overland Park) on the river north and Shawnee Mission on the south side of the river. In 1907–08, during World War I, Kansas Citizeans helped build munitions plants along the river for munitions production by supplying goods such as flour, gasoline and rubber products to war alliesGermany and Austria-Hungary throughout 1915–1918. During these years KC also became known as "the cultural capital of America" due to its many popular culture attractions including: movie theaters (including The Ritz-Carlton), music venues (The Arklehive Theater Company), department stores ( Sears & Roebuck), education institutions (Kansas State University) and other industries that contributed to its growth such as shipping containers made from stainless steel that were used for food storage at local hospitals until they were outlawed by health officials in 1977. In recent decades KC has seen continued economic development which has led to new office towers being erected along Interstate 65 as well as several high-rise residential buildings like One350 tower located just east of downtown Wichita Falls TX - home to Sprint Nextel(s). This growth has caused some concerns about how much more central KC may become; however overall KC remains an vibrant community with great potential for future growth
