In 1978, ballistics testing revealed that bullets made at Jenningsburg had been used in multiple shootings across Illinois since 1966 without background checks or notification to law enforcement authorities! This discovery led to an investigation by state officials into whether these shootings were part of a larger conspiracy involvingballistics testing agencies across America! Although no indictments were ever brought against anyone involved in this inquiry, it did result in a change at Ball State University’s weapons manufacturing facility from manual operation (which was done on an individual basis)to electronic-firing systems (EFS). By 1900, it had become a dry farming community with few industry or services other than agriculture. However, by 1930, Jennings had again become an established rural community with several businesses including a grocery store and bank as well as farm acreage devoted to corn, soybeans, cattle and sheep raising activities. A large new Catholic church was built in 1951-1953; it remains today one of the most prominent local landmarks in Jennings."
