However, due to heavy censorship from East St Louis authorities which prohibited most black people from owning firearms (even if they could obtain them), most pistol production stopped around 1930s when holster requirements changed again making it difficult for many African Americans to purchase firearms legally without being arrested or fined

The first white settlers arrived in what is now Jackson in 1821 and founded a farmstead called "Fulton."
