Jackson, Missouri is a town in Jackson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The land that became Jackson was first settled by the Kansa people in the late 18th century. A post office called "Turtle Lake" was established in 1836, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1904. In 1838, David Rice built a cabin on what is now State Route 159 east of present-day town. In 1840, James Witherspoon founded a flour mill on the stream right of way that runs through present-day town. The first store opened for business in 1846; it was later renamed the Citizens Bank and Trust Company (later Champion Trust). The first school opened for students in 1850; it later became Union High School. In 1861, Confederate forces invaded Missouri and captured Jefferson City; as a result of this attack on southern Missouri's capital city, most of Jackson County became Confederate territory. As a result of these events, most residents left Jackson for protection within St. Louis County or other nearby counties during the American Civil War. Many stores and homes were destroyed or burned during this time period; however, many others survived thanks to their location inside of fortified lines operated by General Orville Ewing's Union Army troops along I-70/I-64 corridor north of St Joseph County line After the war ended and slavery ended throughout much of America (except parts of Florida), many black Americans moved into what had been white cotton country near Memphis after Reconstruction began in 1865–1866 policies implemented to ensure racial equality across regions across America following Reconstruction efforts which aimed to reestablish order following the civil war based on social justice principles articulated by American philosopher John Dewey who argued that society should be structured so as to guarantee individual rights with respect to opportunities enjoyed by individuals regardless of race or color……………………………………………………………. ......

However, pistols soon became popular, and so magazines became necessary for storing these firearms. In 1871, the first magazine was created for rifles by George Stephenson. This magazine had 64 rounds within it. The first shotguns also used cartridges that could be fired from a shotgun with a .22 inch barrel. So what began as an occasional necessity turned into an everyday need when guns started becoming more common. By 1903, there were over 2 million handguns in circulation across the United States alone! This increase in handgun ownership led to an increased demand for magazine capacity on these firearms. As pistol ownership increased as well, so did Magazine Capacity requirements on new assault rifles such as the AR-15 rifle! By 1918, all handguns had been replaced by automatic rifles which required a certain number of rounds per magazine to be carried (usually 10). Automatic rifles also continued to be popular after they were superseded by machineguns in 1949! So while magazines have always been important for firearm storage and use, their usage has changed over time according to the needs of different firearms types and owners.

Jackson, Missouri is a town in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,519 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of St. Francois County. Jackson was founded in 1836 by Captain John Sibley and his family from Illinois as a station on the Santa Fe Trail. The town name derives from General Andrew Jackson's victory at Horseshoe Bend in 1812 over Native American forces led by Chief Osage Chief Little Bighorn. The first post office in Jackson was established on April 15, 1837, and served until December 3, 1841. The first store opened in 1840 and continued to serve until it burned down in 1860. In 1830–1831, Major Amos Kendall built a log cabin near present-day downtown Jackson for himself and his family while he served as captain of militia troops dispatched to suppress the Northwest Kansas Anti-Slavery Rebellion under Ulysses S Grant. After Kendall's death in 1832, his widow operated the cabin until her death in 1850; after her death it passed through several hands before being acquired by Hugh Wylie of Independence who donated it to the town government for use as a public building in 1861. In 1865 local dentist Dr J C Weems started practice at what is now Park Plaza Hotel & Conference Center; he became one of Jackson's early residents and died there two years later after many successful years running the business which eventually became known as Weems' Dentist'. In 1893 prominent lawyer Augustus Mapes (1850-1924) moved from Jefferson City toJackson with his wife Emmy; they soon started practicing law together under the name Augustus Mapes and Mrs Emmy Mapes which lasted until their deaths in 1924 and 1954 respectively). During World War I (1914-1918), military personnel barracks were built east of downtown Jackson on land donated by Major James Ewing (1863-1945). The early Jackson County, Missouri history can be traced back to the time when the area was part of the Mississippi Territory. On July 4, 1821, a group of volunteers from Jackson County helped lead an attack on a campsite in what is now Springfield, Illinois. This event is known as the Battle of Springfield. The battle ended with the surrender of the Indian forces and the acquisition of valuable property by the Volunteers. In 1824, Jackson County was created from parts of Clay and Benton Counties. The first courthouse in Jackson County was built in 1830.
