The production of these lock products was limited due to the high demand for them throughoutFlorissant during this time period as well as because there was no market for them outside of townspeople who possessed gunsights or pistols only (which made these types oflocks essentially useless). However, due to their importance in firearm security and preservation, these lock products continue to be used today in Florissant along with other municipalities across Missouri thanks to their popularity among law enforcement personnel as well as homeowners who rely on them for their personal safety purposes.

In 1916, the company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Wessel & Co., Inc. In 1932, the company merged with Colt Firearms Corporation to form Colt-Wessel & Co., Inc.
Florissant, Missouri is a small town in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 581 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-St. Louis metropolitan area and is located about 25 miles (40 km) south of Kansas City on I-435. The first settler in Florissant was James Kapp from Lebanon, Illinois in 1837. He erected a cabin on the east side of the river just north of present day Florissant High School. There were no permanent residents in Florissant until 1856 when Jno Atherton arrived and set up shop on land donated by Elisha Blissett and others in what is now southwest corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. Atherton built a large log building which served as his store, post office and home for many years before it burned down around 1865. He then erected another large building on the west side of Main Street near where he had started out but this structure also burned down in 1865). In 1867 Jno Atherton married Sarah Henson who came to America with her family from Denmark about that time period; they settled initially in Hannibal, Illinois then moved to Florissant where she died about 1880. They had six children: Anna Maria (1868-1953), John Addison (1870-1945), James Augustus (1872-1958), Lillie Maynard (1875-1956), Edwin George (1877-1960) and Emma Maynard Atherton (1879-1964). In 1896 Jno Atherton purchased 640 acres adjoining his original farmstead along I635 north of town center from Phebe Knox who had purchased it from Isaac Sutter four years earlier as part of the purchase of Big Creek Rancho de Santa Clara Mexican Land grant #826362]. Partially due to their presence hereabouts during those days there was some growth throughout much of St Francois County attributable not only to agricultural production but also commerce resulting principally from trade shows being held at various locations including Dodge City several times each season musterings ol' cattle were attracted hither for sale primarily within two or three miles radius centering aroundpresentday Florissant vicinity . One such show took place early one morning this July morning prior to Independence Day 1886 when over 400 head o' cattle wer prepaired for shipment via train en route thitherto Hannibal Kentucky althougthn't actually destination . After arrival at Hannibal all animals were driven off site thenceforth known as "Pine Bluff Road" grazed by stock ever since

Florissant, Missouri is a small town in Douglas County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Florissant has been a farming community for over 100 years and is home to many important historical attractions. The first settlers in Florissant were Scotsmen who immigrated from unseen sources in 1839. They built their log cabin on what is now Roberts Road and named it "Fernie". In 1846, John Hance moved with his family from Pawnee Township to Florissant and began plowing land that he named "Hancock's Prairie". In 1865, James Fenton came to Florissant from Sparta Township and started trading goods with the Indians. He bought two shotguns and some other items from the Indians and renamed them "Fenton's Gun Shop" after himself. In 1868, A C Cline purchased 10 acres of land east of present-day Florissant from David Teague for $1 per acre (this parcel would later become known as North Park). In 1870, he donated this land to the town of Florissant in memory of his wife Charity Cline who had died while serving as president pro tempore of the Kansas Senate. In 1893, J B Malone opened a grocery store at 601 N State Street which became known as "The Malone Store". This store operated until 1912 when it was sold to Harry Waddell who renamed it "Waddell's Department Store". From 1914 until 1949, The Ralston Company ran a meatpacking plant called "Goudreau Bros." which produced hog products such as bacon and ham for sale throughout Douglas County. The plant closed in 1951 but portions remain extant today near Interstate 435 north of Florissant alongKansas Route 66 where they are used by an agricultural research center operated by Monsanto
The Florissant community was founded in 1837. It was named for a small stream that ran through the town. The community came about because of the discovery of oil and gas in the area.
