Bacon and Elisha Pease. The company continued to operate until 1845 when it merged with another binocular business in nearby Kansas City to form the United States Binocular Company (USBC). The USBC had a successful period of operation until the early 1800s when advances in photography made it difficult to produce quality glass instruments. However, they did continue production until 1892 when they ceased operations completely due to financial difficulties. The popularity of binoculars continues to this day; many people use them for both personal and commercial purposes. Some of the most famous brands include Bushnell, Celestron, Rollei, Nikon and Weaver Optics. Farmington is a small town in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,567 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The first people to arrive in Farmington were the Potawatomi Indians from north of Springfield, Illinois. They built their own towns on the Little Missouri River and along its banks for many years before moving away around 1810. The town was founded by Captain George Rogers Clark on June 11, 1812 as Rogersville after he and his troops forced their way through Indian resistance while surveying land for the Louisiana Purchase. The town was named for General Anthony Wayne's division of militia that had pursued and neutralized Indian forces leading to the Battle of Fallen Timbers on July 4, 1812 near what is now Memphis, Tennessee; Major-General David Butler's division which led the pursuit under orders from General Harrison; and Privateer John Smith's squadron which chased down and captured several Indian war parties near Farmington Landing on October 10th – one night earlier than planned due to bad weather conditions—setting an example for future militaries across Missouri. Farmington became a village in 1830 when it joined with nearby Prospect Heights to form what would become known as "the Farmers' Village." At first only farmers operated farms in or near present day Farmington; however, over time more manufacturing began to take place in nearby cities such as St. Louis and Kansas City so there developed into a large industrial center just east of Farmington off I-55 about two miles (3 kilometers) south of downtown St.Louis until it closed down during World War II because demand for munitions increased overseas instead of remaining stationary within America due to easy transportation links across oceans). After World War II ended most factory production stopped but some heavy industry continued such as an auto plant that produced Ford Pinto coupes until it closed in 2006 followed by other companies like Alcoa Aluminum Company (now ArcelorMittal) that built aluminum smelters until they also closed down during this time period also leaving behind massive environmental damage including releases of mercury and arsenic into soil and water sources; nearly 20 acres (80 meters2) located close to where today’s Lawn Mower Park stands were once filled with tailings from these plants dating back over 100 years! In recent years there has been significant development taking place throughout downtown including new businesses opening up along 3rd Street which has seen numerous restaurant openings among others making this one of if not THE most lively districts downtown currently! Downtown Businesses are hungry for more foot traffic so annexing much older properties such as The Three Gables Inn & Spa adjacent thereto should help with this issue!

Farmington, Missouri is located in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. The town was founded in 1837 by Capt. George Armstrong Capps and his family. The town grew quickly due to its location, natural resources, and agricultural production. Farmington became a center for culture and commerce in the region. The town's economy changed after the start of World War I when the war disrupted trade with Europe. In addition, Farmington suffered from an economic downturn during the 1990s which led to a decrease in population and businesses. However, since 2000, Farmington has seen growth as a result of its strategic location and growing industry. The history of Farmington begins with Captain George Armstrong Capps who settled here in 1837. He was one of the first white men to settle in what is now southern Missouri. At that time there were no roads or bridges connecting northern Illinois with south-central Missouri so goods had to be transported overland on wagons or horsesback riders known as "couriers."Capps instigated farming activity within this area which soon led to increased trade between Illinois and this new territory which included present-day Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Mexico The first buildings on Main Street date back to 1840 when Captain Armstrong constructed a log cabin named "Bennett's House". Over time other structures were built such as a gristmill (1850), store (1853), school (1856), post office (1858), blacksmith shop (1860), barn (1862) and ice cream parlor (1914). By 1870 there were ten residents living intown including four farmers, two mechanics, three teachers, two grocery clerks/butchers/packers/delivery boys etc., one druggist etc., all engaged in agriculture or business connected with their occupations During World War I main shopping streets like Elm Street west of present day Park Drive were closed off while soldiers were being trained at Camp Dodge east of town In 1916 local ranchers formed the First National Bank butcher Jocko Pahr started selling meat out his garage door at 10 cents per pound cutting down on transportation costs
Farmington was founded in 1824 by John Quincy Adams. The town was named for General James K. Polk, the 26th president of the United States. The first store in Farmington opened on Main Street in 1827. The town grew rapidly and by 1830 had a population of over 100 residents. In 1834, Farmington became an incorporated municipality with a population of 350 people. In 1840, Farmington hosted the first free public school session in Missouri. This event helped to create a sense of community among the town's citizens and led to increased social activity within the community. In 1847, Farmers' Bank was chartered and began operations in Farmington. This bank played an important role in facilitating economic development within the town during its early years. In 1865, when Union troops invaded Missouri during the American Civil War, many residents fled to nearby Arkansas for protection. However, some farmers decided to stay and fight on behalf of their countrymen. As a result, Farmington remained loyal to the Union throughout the war and functioned as one of several southern Illinois communities that aided General Ulysses S Grant's army During Reconstruction following the war. In 1870, Farmington experienced its first tornado outbreak which destroyed many homes and businesses within downtown area (although no injuries were reported). After this event, officials developed new safety measures such as large sandbags being placed adjacent to streets in order to prevent future tornadoes from occurring。 In 1881-82, local textile mills closed due to technological advances which made it more difficult for farmers to produce goods using traditional methods such as spinningRaw cotton yarn into fabric). As a result, many farm families lost their jobs and were forced to sell or rent their properties out onto parcels of land suitable for farming purposes。 During this time period there also occurred significant increases in crime rates within central Arkansas due largelyto high levels of immigration& joblessness among rural residentsthe combination caused numerous groupsofScavengershereabouts seeking entry into what had been once contentment & stability
