In 1977, Ruger introduced another redesigned AR 15 Rifle model called the Ranger which was designed specifically for use by police officers and Special Forces members operating in hostile environments such as Iraq or Afghanistan. Over time, other manufacturers entered into competition with Sturm Ruger & Co., producing various versions of the Super Redhawk, Ranger, Premier rifle series (including models featuring an M4 stock), SR22 carbine/ammo system (including chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum rounds) as well as similar Tactical A1 style receivers offered through gunbrokerages like Brownells/ TCM Incorporated or Gander Mountain/RCI Incorporated). Farmington, Missouri is a small town located in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbia, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. The original store was built on Main Street and operated from what is now known as Fry's Drug Store until it was destroyed in 1862 by fire. The Barton Mill District No..1 contains one structure which has beenlisted on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984: Barton Mill Ruins (1906). This former mill complex includes two brick buildings--the Upper Mill and Lower Mill--and three contributing stone walls along with their associated dam/pond system; millhands' dwellings; storage barns; power house; stable block; blacksmith shop; washhouse/drying house; corn cribs/maize fields; roadsides); also evidence of early water tower construction including mud bricks used for revetments around base of tower

Farmington, Mo., is a small town in southern Missouri on the edge of the Ozarks. The population was 3,471 at the 2010 census. As of 2000, Farmington was home to the only McDonald's restaurant in south central Missouri. Farmington is also home to numerous other small businesses and commercial properties. The first settlers in what is now Farmington were farmers who came from Kentucky and Tennessee. They began to arrive around 1825 and founded a village called Big Spring on the present-day site of Farmington. The first post office was opened in 1831 and remained open until it closed in 1902. In 1836, General James Hays decided to move his army westward into what is now Oklahoma Territory because he felt that Kansas City would become too successful as an eastern seaport for cattlemen and merchants interested in moving goods eastward across the Arkansas River. He ordered Colonel John Sanger to build him a fort at what is now Farmington so that he could keep control of this new territory while he built his army. The fort became known as Fort Hays after General Hays. In 1861, Union soldiers under Confederate General Stephen Aiken burned down the Village Green House near today's Market Square Shopping Center during their battle for Springfield, Mo.. This event helped make Springfield an important military center between Union forces north of Kansas City and Confederate forces south of Springfield. In 1870, George Rogers Clark passed through town on his way from Cairo, Ill., to Little Rock, Ark., when he stopped at Mill Creek Baptist Church on Ulysses Road for dinner with Commodore Perry and his wifeuh Mrs Lincoln before proceeding northeast along Ulysses Road towards Independence National Cemetery where they buried Ulysses S Grant (1822-1865). livestock drives took place each year during July or August near current day Anacostia Drive SW corner First Street NW which terminated at Farmers Branch stream just beyond high school today's football field next door (now part of Walmart). Farmington was founded in 1836 as a small town in the Jackson Township, far north of St. Louis. The first settlers were Missouri farmers who had moved to the area from Illinois. A store and post office were established in 1837, and by 1840, Farmington had a population of about seventy-five people. It became a community ofetta on December 11, 1840 when it merged with neighboring townships, including Florissant and Independence. In 1846, Farmington was renamed Lamar after General James K. Polk's presidential candidate for Missouri at that year's election. In 1865, Farmington incorporated as a city under the name of Lamar City; it reverted to its previous name in 1898. From 1896 until 1951, it was an agricultural center with extensive poultry production; later industries included computers and other electronic products. The city hosted the annual Central States Fair from 1949 to 1978; afterwards it stopped hosting fairs altogether because of budget cuts made during then- Mayor John Dvorak's administration. However, Lamar City has re-opened the fairgrounds several times since then (eighth time in 2018).
