In Excelsior Springs, Missouri, there has been a firearm shirt history since the early 1800s. The first firearms shirts were made in 1842 by local clothier John Beal. Beal became interested in guns after his brother-in-law bought one of the original pistols used in the War of 1812. In Excelsior Springs, Missouri, the first firearms were made in 1849. The town was founded in 1851 by three soldiers from Illinois who were looking for a new home. They named their settlement Excelsior Springs after the two rivers that flow through it- the Mississipi and the Arkansas. In 1872, a blacksmith named W. T. Smith started making rifles and shotguns here and soon became one of the most successful gunmakers in the area. In 1922, he opened his own shop and continued to produce firearms until his death in 1978. Today, Excelsior Springs is known for itsguns and rifle sights, as well as its annual Gun Show which is one of the largest in Missouri.
Excelsior Springs, Missouri is a small town in the Ozarks of southeastern Missouri. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area and is located about 25 miles south of downtown St. Louis on I-55. The community was named for Excelsior Lake in neighboring Linn County. The first settler in Excelsior Springs was Joel Prentice, who arrived in 1837. In 1854, Fannie Cutts purchased land here from the government and built her home on what is now Main Street. Cutts' husband, Drury Wigglesworth, also lived here for many years and served as medical director of a local mental hospital until his death in 1906. In 1907, John Haggerty moved to Excelsior Springs from Jacksonville and started a grocery store called Haggerty's Drug Store which still stands today on Main Street east of Centerline Drive. By 1915, when Mr. Haggerty sold his store to Jeptha Weeks Jr., Excelsior Springs had four churches with more than 100 members: Bethesda Methodist Episcopal Church (founded 1888), First Baptist Church (1893), Third Presbyterian Church (1897), and United MethodistChurch (1902). John Gentry opened Gentry's Hardware Store in 1916 on State Route 45B just north of Centerline Drive which continued to be open until it closed its doors in 1984 due to structural problems caused by lightening damage during an electrical storm; this store is now known as the old A&P supermarket across the street from Gentry's house on State Route 45B.. In 1932, Mrs. Mildred Heiskell founded Sheehan's Millinery School which still operates today as Sheehan's tailor shop across Market Street from City Hall building near where Cox & Co.'s department store once stood Downtown before being destroyed by fire in 1979; Mrs . Heiskell also established Home Economics Classes at Heron Park Elementary School starting in 1936 according to historical records housed at Mizzou University Extension Library.. Shortly thereafter, other manufacturers followed suit with their own designs. This proliferation in firearm t-shirt design helped to give people an idea of what they were buying when they picked up a shirt related to firearms. Some other noteworthy shootings involving firearms that were depicted on T-Shirts include the Oklahoma City Bombing which occurred in 1995 and resulted in 168 deaths; President Kennedy's assassination which took place on November 22nd, 1963; and both rounds fired from Uzi submachine guns being used during Operation Neptune’s Spear during Afghanistan’s war against the Soviet Union which resulted in over 1,000 fatalities. As time has passed and more breweries began producing beer related items such as apparel and food products, so too has the prevalence of firearm t- shirts become increasingly common across different demographics within society. NRA members are no exception as many Of these individuals prefer to wear clothing that is supportive of their organization while also promoting Second Amendment rights. While there are always some exceptions - such as college students who dress Lounge Lizards or TSA security agents who sport guns on their uniforms - generally speaking, firearm t- shirts are seen as highly endorsed pieces of fashion among millions of people throughout America today.

Excelsior Springs (formerly Union Station) is a city in and the county seat of Sullivan County, Missouri, United States. The population was 10,651 at the 2010 census. Excelsior Springs is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Excelsior Springs were French fur traders who came overland from Canada in 1763. They named the area "Fort Ripley" after one of their own men, Pierre-Jacques Cartier. Fort Ripley was built on a bluff overlooking the mouth of the White River which then flowed into Lake Erie. The traders left behind a village they called "Quebec". In 1824, General James K. Polk took command of troops marching through Sullivan County and created an outpost at Quebec known as Fort Myer on April 20th where he installed John Custer as its first Commandant. In 1830, when Missouri became a state, Fort Myer became Monticello Barracks and served as that state's capital until Springfield was established as its permanent capital in 1854. During most of its history Excelsior Springs had no government buildings except for one courthouse which served as judge's court between 1840 and 1850 when it moved to St Louis because that city had an adequate number of judges for such an small town. In 1852 the legislature erected a new courthouse which still stands today; it replaced an earlier structure which was destroyed by fire in 1851. The name "Excelsior Springs" originated with James Kappner who came up with it while working for Pemberton Paper Company outshooters near Pittsburg Landing, Kansas Territory during 1861-1862 campaign against Confederate forces under General Robert Ewell Sherman because Kappner thought that this name would create brand loyalty among soldiers should they come across any references to "this place called Excelsior Springs." The Excelsior Springs community was founded on May 17, 1824 by Captain John S. Peele and his family. The first post office in the community was established on July 1, 1825. In 1829, a school was built in Excelsior Springs. On October 14, 1830, a Methodist church was erected in Excelsior Springs. The first settler to reside in what is now Excelsior Springs was John Aiken who arrived with his family on December 4, 1830. In 1836, the local jail opened and held inmates for two days before being closed down due to lack of space. In 1840, a gristmill was built and ran until 1865. In 1861, an sawmill and grist mill were constructed within the community of Excelsior Springs. A store and livery stable were also founded within the community of Excelsior Springs between 1850-1860. By 1865, all businesses had been closed down due to prohibitionism in Missouri On January 3rd 1870 - when Missouri became a state - Excelsior Springs had its own post office which continued operation until it closed on November 30th 1930 In 1909 - during World War I - an airfield called "Foley Field" was located within the confines of the town of Excelsior Springs . It served as a training ground for American fighter pilots . The airfield burned down in 1945 . In 1951 - during the Korean War - an artillery battery known as Battery D #5 (later renamed battery C) located near present day Interstate 44 east of town operated from "Foley Field". On September 2nd 1953 after years of planning and construction ,the first interracial wedding took place at "Foley Field" when Lillie Mae Jeter married Vernon Joe Brown
