In 1902, the shop was moved to its present location on County Road 6 in Creve Coeur, near the University of Missouri at Carbondale. In 1934, the company became a subsidiary of Brownells Incorporated. Brownells merged with Remington Arms Corporation in 1949. At that time, Creve Coeur became part of the new Remington Division of Brownells Incorporated.

A railroad reached CreveCoeur in 1859, and soon it became one of the most important transportation hubs in western Missouri. In 1870, a new courthouse was built to replace an older structure that had been destroyed by a fire. In 1916, when Missouri passed a bill imposing heavy fines for traffic violations, Creve Coeur become known as "The Capital of Traffic Enforcement." The decline of manufacturing throughout much of the Midwest during the early 21st century led to a decrease in business activity and jobs within Creve Coeur. However, since 2000s there has been some resurgence with small businesses starting up again and residents working together to revive old businesses as well as start new ones. There are multiple festivals each year that bring people from all around town together for entertainment including music concerts/fairs/theater shows; film screenings; Maker Faire exhibits; antique car show; golf tournaments; rodeo events; food contests etc., making it an interesting mix for visitors who want something different every time they visit!

Other local businesses include an ice cream parlor and several clothing stores. A new public library opened in CreveCoeur in 2006 that replaced the former crepe factory building which had been used for many years as a bank and storehouse for other businesses in town. In addition to its agricultural base, Creve Coeur is home to numerous small businesses that support local industries such as plastics manufacturing and horticulture. Manufacturing jobs have declined since 2000 while non-manufacturing jobs have grown; however this may change with plans by the City of CreveCoeur to locate an airplane manufacturer within it soon after approval from federal regulators
The town of Creve Coeur was founded by a group of farmers in 1836. The town grew quickly and soon had a population of around 100 people. In 1855, the first school was built in the town. The townspeople also developed a cider industry, which helped to support the economy. In 1865, Creve Coeur became part of the Union Territory of Missouri. This territory included most of present-day Missouri. In 1871,Creve Coeur became part of the newly formed State of Missouri. The state Legislature renamed thetown CreveCoeur after General Ulysses S. Grant, who had served as President Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary for War during his time in office.
