Chesterfield, Missouri is a town located in Chesterfield County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first rifle stock company in Chesterfield was organized on December 14, 1855 by A. W. Stephenson and associates from Fenton and Maple Grove. The company prospered for many years but disbanded due to lack of members or funding in 1861. It reformed in 1865 under the name of "The Riflemen's Association of America" (later renamed "National Rifle Association"). Today Chesterfield has two rifle stock companies active; the "Chesterfield-Western Arms Company" (CWAC) and the "Michigan Arms Company". CWAC is responsible for manufacturing rifles for both hunting and target shooting purposes while Michigan Arms manufactures shotguns only. Both organizations maintain a large museum which displays firearms dating back to 18th century muzzleloaders to modern assault rifles/shotguns including revolvers and pistols!

However, since 2000 some Revivalists have tried to revive various aspects of life including art galleries/concerts/etc., which has helped keep most residents here even though their factory jobs have not returned yet (though some are looking into starting businesses once again). despite all these challenges, today's citizens are very proud locals who celebrate everything related to their hometown such as arts & crafts shows/festivals held each year around Dec 3rd called "ChristmasTown."
