Chesterfield is a town in Chesterfield County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,878 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield– Hannibal Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in what is now Chesterfield were farmers who arrived around 1825. By 1830 they had built a cabin on the site of present-day downtown Chesterfield. The first store in town was opened by John Cook in 1834. In 1861, when Missouri became an Confederate state, many residents fled to Union territory. Many businesses within the town closed during this time as well; however, one man who maintained a business in downtown Chesterfield was Elijah Epps. In 1865 Epps sold his business to Abram Pritchett and others for $2,000 cash and moved back into town where he continued running the store until his death in 1907. In 1869 James Dixon founded Dixon Propshirt Emporium which operated for several years before closing due to financial troubles; however, it is still remembered today because of its large collection of holsters and pistols that were donated to the museum by Dixon’s widow starting in 1984. In 1898 Samuel Hickey established Hickey's Shoes & Slippers on Main Street which served as a local dry goods store and post office until 1951 when it closed due to economic conditions; however, it still stands as one of the most prominent buildings in downtown Chesterfield today and hosts various events throughout the year including holiday celebrations such as Christmas tree lighting and eggnog service on New Year’s Eve (the event has been held at Hickey’s since 1978). Today Chesterfield is known for its antique shops which are open from 9am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday with some stores having hours extended to 5pm during special sales periods or holidays; also available from these stores are handguns and other shooting accessories which can be purchased subject to federal regulations governing firearms availability between states/ territories etc.; furthermore many people visiting rural areas within Illinois will want investigate Old World charm associated with this small city located about 25 miles west of St Louis on I-435 near Rollamere Township off I-55 just north of Rocksville township

Chesterfield is a city in Chesterfield County, Missouri, United States. The population was 8,914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what is now Chesterfield was John Aiken who arrived in 1802. He built a cabin on the east side of U.S. Route 50 and named it "Aiken's Cabin." Aiken's cabin served as the nucleus for what would become today's Chesterfield village and became one of three original townships in Chesterfield County when it was organized on November 3, 1819. In 1837, Daniel Boone moved from his Logansport-Madison Plantation to establish a new home in what is now Chesterfield Township and purchased 2,000 acres (810 hectares) of land from James Kappes for $1,500 cash plus 10% interest per year until it could be sold for $10 per acre ($100 total). The township seat changed several times over the years but eventually located at Caseville before moving to its present location near downtown on February 12, 1860. The town plat for Chesterfield was filed on October 14, 1861 withuben Jarrell as surveyor and Wiley Ewing as engineer; both men were later promoted to public district commissioners which had responsibility for all local government within their respective jurisdictions including municipal services such as street paving and trash collection etc., not just county government functions such as taxation or road maintenance etc.. The first post office opened on November 9th, 1861 with Hester Pillsbury serving as clerk/postmaster until her death December 16th 1865 due to yellow fever contracted while visiting Dallas TX during that time period However mail service continued uninterrupted through most of 1863 due to Union blockade by Confederate forces In 1865 post office closed after Confederates destroyed building adjacent to Depot
HOLSTER HISTORY When holster designers first came up with designs for handguns, they wanted something that would protect the user’s gun and provide a comfortable fit. The early holsters were made from cloth or leather and were not very comfortable to wear. However, over time, more and more designers started developing holsters specifically for handguns. Today, there are a variety of different types of holsters available on the market, each designed to protect your gun and provide a comfortable fit. The earliest type of holster was called a “basket holster”. This design consisted of two straps running along the side of the handgun and around the waistband of your pants. These Holsters were often used by officers in law enforcement because they allowed officers to carry their handguns without having them stick out conspicuously from their clothing. The second type of holster was called an “open-back strap holster”. This holster featured three adjustable straps that ran around your waistband at an angle instead of straight down like a basket holster did. This design allowed you to carry your handgun in any position you desired while still keeping it secure against movement. Open-backs became popular due to their flexibility and ease of use when trying to find a position where you could comfortably hold your firearm with both hands while wearing gloves or other protective gear. One common style today is the so-called "Cornered Shield" holster which consists solely of one adjustable strap that runs across the front edge of your pistol grip area (or on top if using an open-backstrap style). This positioning allowsfor unrestricted access to all four cornersof your handgun should you ever need to reach behind or above it while wearing gloves or other Protective Gear! You can also see this particular style being used extensively by Law Enforcement Officers as well as others who need unrestricted access both sides(e.g.: Military) throughout its lifetime! There are now many different types & shapes available online/offline that allow users much greater versatility when carrying their firearms safely!

Chesterfield is a town in Dixon County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,531 at the 2010 census. Chesterfield is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The first settlers in what would become Chesterfield were men from Connecticut who arrived in 1825. They built a cabin on the east side of the creek that later became known as Fort Street. A post office was established in 1827 and named for General John Chesterfield (1775-1851), an officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War. In 1830, George Washington Carver moved to Dixon County and began raising cotton farming around what is now Southport Road and Highway 9W. By 1840, he had developed a large plantation near what is now Northport Road and Interstate 435. He named it "Carver's Grove". In 1845, he sold his land to James Mclntyre for $10,000 dollars which amounted to $2 million dollars at that time. Mclntyre dedicated his new home "Chesterfield" to President Franklin D. Roosevelt on November 14th of that year because it was close to where President Roosevelt had been when he visited St Louis on September 12th of that year after being elected Vice President of America
Chesterfield was founded in 1837 by John Chesterfield, a surveyor and landowner. The town was named after Chesterfield County, Virginia, where he had been born in 1784. In 1850, the population of the town numbered just 25 people; but by 1860, it had grown to over 2,000 people. The growth of the town came from its location on the Missouri River between Fort Smith and Arkansas City. This gave Chesterfield access to goods and services that were unavailable to other towns on the river. Additionally, the town was able to get its name from one of its founders – John C. Chesterfield – because he donated a lot of land for development in what is now downtown Chesterfield.
