The history of Chesterfield goes back to 1829 when two brothers named John and James Chesterfield founded the town on a farm they had bought from Benjamin Rushforth. By 1850, Chesterfield had a courthouse, jail, post office, schoolhouse, church (First Baptist), cotton gin/millinery shop/barns (the first in Missouri), grocery store/cotton gin (the first in Missouri), blacksmith shop/forge (the first in Missouri), carpenter shop/building materials (the first in Illinois), doctor’s office (later renamed “Chesterfield Hospital”) and several other businesses. In 1872, the General Assembly passed an act providing for area development commencing with what is now Chesterfield east of K-4th Streets; this area became known as Midtown Chesterfield. One hundred years later developers continued to develop Midtown with properties extending all along Cass Avenue which runs through downtown today until it reaches Interstate 64 just south of First Street where it merges into I-435 traffic heading northbound while Midtown gradually fades away behind Interstate 64 until it meets up again with K-4th Streets again approximately one block later where it becomes known as Downtown Chesterfield once more. In 1990 developer Tim Horton's opened their new restaurant across from First Street in what is now Downtown Easton; this restaurant led to growth throughout Downtown Easton which today includes over twenty businesses including five restaurants plus four hotels totaling over 350 beds! In 2000 developer Harry Marks reopened his old hardware store building on Main Street which he originally built in 1902; this building also served as the original headquarters for Eastern Illinois University before being sold off to businessman Jerry Wexler who moved his university there in 2002 making him one of only three people everto have that distinction! Today Downtown Easton features many large box stores such as Walmart®, Sears®, JBL®, Macy's® etc., but also smaller specialty shops and restaurants like Bluegrass Tavern & Grille or Thai Express BBQ & Sushi Bar which are popular among locals and tourists alike for their delicious food options). As well as numerous parks including McCoy Park located adjacent to downtown on State Street between Elmira Road and Cass Avenue - home field of local high school baseball teams – making Easton an enjoyable community place to live, work or raise children while still having access to all thatMidtown has to offer!

Chesterfield is a town in Boone County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,908 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The first settler in Chesterfield was John Potter in 1819. The town was platted on April 3, 1825 by commissioners from St. Louis and Independence Counties. The original name of the town may have been derived from Chesterfield Plantation which was located about one mile east of present-day Chesterfield on the north side of MO 481 (now US 61) where it crossed MO 481 near its junction with MO 352 (now US 60). The Potters ran a gristmill and sawmill here until 1868 when they moved to nearby Downingville and continued operations here until their bankruptcy in 1878. In that year, James Guthrie bought Potter's mill site and began operations as Guthrie's Mills Incorporated under the name of Guthrie & Co., later Guthrie Grain Mill Company before finally becoming Guthrie Mills Holdings Incorporated in 1984 when all other mills were sold to Peetco Steel Corporation parent company Peetco Industries Ltd.. In 1912, Chesterfield School District No 2 was organized with seven schools: three elementary schools (grades K-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8), one high school (grades 9-12), and one special needs school (grades 1-4). In 1925, agricultural science classes were added to the district program which evolved into agriculture education now offered through Overland Hills Community College West Campus within Central High School boundary for grades 9-12 students In 1961 Central High School became a comprehensive high school after merger of three smaller high schools; Overland Hills Community College West Campus became Chesterfield High School effective September 1st 1961 . On July 1st 1966 Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company merged into Pirelli Tire & Rubber Company forming what we now know as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company - Chesterfield Divisional Headquarters Corporate Center Township office moved from main building on Main Street to new building on Park Avenue which opened August 1967 . According to 2006 estimates only 4% or $2 million worth of assets remain primarily due to physical destruction caused by Great Recession including fire damage estimated at over $10 million
Chesterfield was founded in 1836 by John Chester and his wife Susannah. The town was named after the Chester County, Pennsylvania, home of the Chester family. In 1861, the United States military burned down the original courthouse in Chesterfield to prevent Confederate forces from using it as a headquarters.
