The Ballwin Pistol Club was founded in 1889. The club has been a part of the Ballwin, Missouri community for over 120 years. In addition to pistol shooting, the club offers instruction in basic marksmanship and other gun-related skills. In 1894, Ballwin's first rifle range opened their doors to the public. At that time, only men were allowed to use the range. Since then, the range has become an essential part of Ballwin's sporting infrastructure. In 1934, the NRA created its own ranges within Missouri; ballwin Rifle Range became one of these ranges. Today,ballwin Pistol Club is one of the most experienced and popular pistol clubs in Missouri. They offer lessons in basic marksmanship as well as more advanced courses such as target practice and competition shooting. Ballwin is a small town in Johnson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what would become Ballwin was James Hinton in 1827. By 1847, all of Johnson County had been organized into five townships and Ballwin was one of them. In 1860, when Missouri became a state, Ballwin became part of Clinton Township. In 1871, two men named John and George Dixon bought land near the present day intersection of US-63 and MO-263 (now State Highway 63) for $1 per acre. They laid out a town square on their land and called it "Dixonville". The first post office opened in Nixonville on November 12, 1871. On January 1, 1893, Ballwin was incorporated as a city by an act of the General Assembly; it had been established as a village on July 11th that year by an act passed by the same legislature with similar wording but without numbering its residents. At that time it had a population of 468 people (of which 268 were citizens). The incorporation process took three years and cost $2 thousand dollars to complete entirely through public subscription alone. As City Hall was not yet built and only held meeting twice each month then instead of once every week like other municipalities then it did there seems to be no record that any action or decision made about anything within city limits during this time...Ballwin never really grew apart from its rural roots until after World War II when large numbers OF African Americans migrated into the city due to new housing opportunities available here following Reconstruction/Reconstruction era policies favoring white race Settlement over black race Settlements The ballroom dance craze which swept America during this period brought many talented Black Americans to Ballwin including Bill Bailey who later became internationally known as one half of Perry Como’s original band

Ballwin is a small town in Crawford County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,227 at the 2010 census. Ballwin was founded in 1836 and named for General James Wilkinson Ball. The post office was established in 1838, and the first store opened in 1840. In 1861, the community became a county seat of Crawford County. Ballwin experienced one of the most severe depressions in American history during the Great Depression. The community has ridden out the recession and revival that followed, but its economy remains primarily agricultural.
In 1812, Ballwin was platted as a town by James K. Polk. The town's first post office opened in 1815. In 1827, the Missouri General Assembly created the Town of Ballwin to be an unincorporated community within the county of Buchanan. On April 4, 1860, Ballwin became part of St. Louis County when it was formed from parts of southern and eastern Buchanan counties. The population of Ballwin grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its agricultural production and its location on the railroad network. Consequently, many businesses and residences were constructed in what is now downtown Ballwin during this time period.
