This event helped spur development around northeastern Ballvin and made it one of the most important towns in central Missouri during its time as part of Uniontown Township (now Benton County). It wasn't until 1872 that Ballwin had its own post office which opened up mail delivery from Saline City on July 1st that year to residents within its current boundaries – making it one of only two post offices in central Missouri then open to everyone without restrictions or fees attached. During World War II, many local businesses turned into war production plants supplying munitions abroad; such as Coventry Proving Ground close to present day downtown Ballvin which manufactured gas masks and other military equipment while also housing a large number of workers inside barracks/workshops across three blocks long – becoming known as "the factory town". ballWIN also played host to Little Rock Air Force Base during their operations there beginning on September 30th 1942 until May 1945 when they were transferred back home afterwords due to wartime bombings over Humboldt County Arizona
