In 1895, they won an open-air match against a team from Kansas City. That year, they also became members of the Missouri State Rifle Association (MSA). In 1903, they moved to 9th Street in downtown Ballwin and continued to shoot competitively. In 1907, they won another open-air match against a team from Kansas City. That year, they were elected president of the MSA. They continued winning matches until World War I when their club disbanded due to financial reasons.
Ballwin, Missouri is a small town located in central Missouri. The population was 1,711 at the 2000 census. Ballwin is part of the Springfield, MO-IL Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settlement in what is now Ballwin was made by wagon train passengers on July 3, 1815 when they Cameo and James Buffington arrived from Illinois. A post office called "Ballwin" was established in 1820, and continued to be used until it was discontinued in 1865. In 1825, David Dixon founded the city of Dixonville on the west bank of the Mississippi River adjacent to what is now Ballwin. Dixonville became an important transportation hub for goods moving between Illinois and Missouri due to its location close to both rivers. By 1830, there were over 30 businesses operating in Dixonville including a cotton gin, distillery, bakery and barber shop. In 1834 Union General Nathaniel Banks attacked Ballwin during his invasion of Missouri; as a result many homes were destroyed or burned down and 50 people were killed including 20 women and children who were taken into captivity by Banks' forces. After Banks' defeat at Battle of Franklin he retreated back across the river to Arkansas where he lost many men and supplies trying to cross. In order not to lose any more troops or supplies he decided not to pursue further into Missouri afterburning Ballsvin instead he crossed back over the river east of present day Ballwin and abandoned his attempt altogether In 1840 Rollin Gillespie founded Gillespie County which includes what are now Ballwin Township (north), Buchanan Township (south), Pettit Township (west), Eldredge Township (east) and parts of Armstrong Township (southwest). The county seat was located at Carthage until it moved to Dixonville in 1840 before moving again in 1845 finally settling at present day Ballwinds Landing where it remains today. It should be noted that while most residents of today's ballWIN move here directly from their original villages or townships - some did come from other nearby villages such as Carthage/Dixonville/Eldredge which all grew up around large cotton plantations operated by local landowners during this time period

The new government declared that all men were created equal and began to amass great wealth through land speculation and commerce. Ballwin experienced rapid growth in the late 19th century as farmers from Illinois arrived to plant cotton and other crops; many businesses were started here including a local sawmill and a flour mill which still operate today. Many important politics were played out here during this time such as the American Civil War (1861-1865), Reconstruction (1877-1892), World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945).
