Gun protection history in Ballwin, Missouri began with the establishment of the first gun store in the town on November 15, 1839. The store was located at Third and Market Streets. The store was operated by Wm. Hennessey and his son-in-law, Solomon P. Goodrich. goodrich also owned a sawmill and grist mill in Ballwin at that time. In 1846, Samuel Colt established a Gunsmith Shop in Ballwin to supply handguns to local farmers for self-defense purposes. This shop is still open today as the Samuel Colt Arms Company. In 1853, John Custer died while serving in the Ulysses S. Grant’s army in Indian Territory; this event caused a great deal of public outcry over military disarmament policies of then President James K Polk. As a result of this public outcry, two bills were passed authorizing state militias to keep firearms for their own use without federal approval (the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution). On October 9th 1861, when Confederate General Robert Ewell attacked Union forces at Wilson’s Grove outside of Ballwin, Missouri he violated strict orders from Confederate Commandant Colonel James Longstreet not to fire upon civilians or any Union troops within range of his artillery batteries; these artillery batteries had been specifically ordered not to fire upon unarmed menfolk below ground level who were looting and destroying property belonging to Union soldiers! Aftermath of this engagement resulted in more than 100 dead Confederate soldiery along with many civilian casualties including women and children! When Civil War ended on April 6th 1865 near Jacksonport Illinois all remaining armed Confederates surrendered unconditionally without firing a shot! Allemental Armories & Gun Stores was established on February 13th 1870 by J B Nichols after he purchased an old blacksmith shop on State street east of town from Elijah White (father-in-law of pioneer George Wingate)). At that time armory was located 2 blocks south west of present day First Street between Oak Streeet and Chancellor Avenue

Gun control advocates argue that having more accessible firearms does not inherently lead to lower levels of gunviolence; instead it can actually increase gun fatalities and injuries because shooters know how to use weapons easily if they get hold of them.4 However, data from recent studies appears to contradict this claim: for example, a study published last year found that states with loosened restrictions on concealed carry had higher firearm homicides than states with stricter laws3 Additionally, research shows thatgun safety measures (such as muzzleloader safety training) can reduce gun homicides even when there are no restrictions on carrying handguns outside homes5 And finally, it’s worth noting thatgun massacres occur disproportionately where laxer regulations exist6 – so anything that lowers barriers to access won’t do much good until we also address the underlying causes behind these tragedies such as poverty and low self-esteem among American communities
