This company continued to make holsters until 1965 when it merged with Colt handguns manufacturing company to form Colt revolver corporation. In 2007 it became part of the city limits of Springfield after Springfield annexed most of Clay County . It remains heavily rural with few commercial buildings other than two grocery stores and one restaurant

Today, Arnold remains an important center for local government with a variety of services available including voting rights for all residents over 21 years old and city council meetings that are open to the public on weekdays from 7:00am until 3:00pm during business hours. Despite its declining fortunes throughout much of recent history, Arnold has experienced some significant growth over the past few decades – most notably through the arrival of several high-profile businesses such as PepsiCo’s Quaker Oats plant (now JW Marriott) and Chevrolet’s headquarters (now known as Gateway Mall). These arrivals have helped spur economic development that has led to increased jobs and revenue for both locals and businesses alike. Overall, though there is still much work left to be done – especially given the challenges faced by many small towns across America – Archerton firmly stands among Missouri’s fastest-growing communities since 2007!
Arnold was founded in 1836 by Isaac Arnold and his wife, Eliza. The town grew quickly due to the fact that it was located on the banks of the Arkansas River. In 1839, Arnold became a station on the Union Pacific Railroad. The town continued to grow as businesses began to be established in the area such as a cotton gin, bakery, livery stable and flour mill. By 1848, Arnold had become an important trading center for the area and boasted a population of around 100 people. However, during the early 1800s, much of this land lay unclaimed and was eventually bought by settlers from Illinois. As a result of this change in ownership, Arnold's growth slowed down until it reached its current level by 1870. Today, Arnold is one of the most popular locales in Missouri due to its rich history and vibrant community atmosphere.
