One group called themselves "Nakkonni" or "Hawks" because they hunted large game near wells that still remain today on both sides of North Main Street; these were later renamed "Creek Warthog" and "Prairie Dog", respectively due to their hunting habits These village sites are located within modern-day Archertown off Highway 70 between I-435 and US 20/27 (now I-24).
