According to the history of West Point, Mississippi's largest military academy, the institution was founded in 1802 as a military school for officers of the Mississippi Territory. The first commanding officer of the academy was Colonel James Wilkinson. In 1824, West Point became an infantry and cavalry school and in 1830 it became a artillery school. It was renamed West Point Military Academy in 1861 after President Abraham Lincoln signed a bill providing for its establishment. In World War I, West Point served as both an army and navy training ground. After the war, it resumed its role as an infantry and cavalry school until 1948 when it again became a artillery school. In 1990,West Point merged with Fort Benning (Georgia) to form United States military Academy at Benning. Today,West Point is one of the most prestigious post-secondary institutions in America with over 4200 students from more than 150 countries studying at various levels at its four schools: Artillery & Cavalry; Infantry & Cavalry; Naval Warfare Studies Command; Air Force History Institute. It has also become home to several research programs focused on arms control/arms development and defense science and technology. Additionally,the academy offers numerous education opportunities for civilians through its civilian staffs including business administration courses leading to executive positions in businesses large and small; law enforcement/peacekeeping courses leading to police officers or prosecutors; architecture/engineering courses leading to professional careers in these fields; health sciences courses leading to medical professionals or scientists...and many other programs which are designed specifically for civilians such as enrollment into cadet commando units while still young teenagers or their involvement in village stabilization programs during natural disasters

A square target holder has four legs that connect it to the ground, giving it stability while you hold it in your hand. The other two legs are connected by a hinge, which allows you to rotate the target holder around its axis. This rotation can be used to adjust the shooting position of your rifle or shotgun objectives. The squareTarget Holder from Vortex is one of the most popular types on the market because it does not require any tools to use and is very simple to operate. It consists of two parts: an armature with three holes that accept standard 3/8" sights and a launching platform with four circles that house either a red dot Sightron scope or green illuminated reticle device. To mount your rifle or shotgun on top of the Target Holder, simply place one end over one circle and screw it into place using Allen head screwsdriver; then screw the other end onto the armature using flush-mount screwsdriver; finally screw into place using pliers (see illustration). To cock your firearm, simply release one side of the gun's hammer before rotating handle until elevated above horizontal line at recessed level on firing platform - this should happen automatically without further action taken by Shooter.- Note: When cocking weapon during live operation please avoid sudden movements as this may result in unintentional discharge.- If desired there are also several small magnets hidden inside trigger guard housing just below grip area which can be rotated when finger touch these Magnet surface

In 1865, George Eickhorn filed a design for a similar target holder called the Eickhorn Holder which used screws instead of screws and nails to attachTarget Holders onto firearms (US Patent 836,527). The first models made useofthis attachment method were created by George Eickhorn and others during World War II (US Patent 910,043). Thereafter, many variations emerged based on various Wehrmacht military uniforms (US Patents 79412 & 80822) or civilian clothing designs (USPatent 765462). These Target Holder attachments became known as “Eckhorns” afterGeorgeEickhorn himself. In 1949 Charles Goodyear introduced hisGoodyearTargetsetBlowout Device which allowed shooterstoblow out any numberofTarget Holes atonce using just one cartridge (US Patent 46326). Eventually goodyear products becamevery popular and more manufacturers produced TargetsetHolderattachments over time. By 1951 about 30%of American rifle owners had purchasedan attachedTarget Holder(Gerald Loomis personal observation)(Flamm Research Report #1)). thereafter began whatbecameknown as “the Golden Age”ofTarget Holdersasshooters discoveredthatthese devices could bepositionedatvariousangleswithin defintely certain rangesaccuratelytimingandwereeasytouse(Accurate Shooting Technology Newsletter Vol 1 No 5 Pg 2 May 1996)). Today there are millionsuponmillionsof TargetHoldersavailableonthemarketandtheycontinue tousetheattachmentmethodsdescribedinbeforeperiodicals(especially NRA Low recoil Target Hanger Units/Shooters Guide 2006 pg 107-111)).
