As one of the most slave-based economies in America, gun chokes were a common tool for keeping black men from owning firearms. In 1865, Mississippi passed a law that made it a felony to possess any firearm "without lawful authority." The law was meant to suppress the spread of firearms and protect white people from being shot by black men. Rifle manufacturer Colt Firearms responded quickly with their new Model 1887 revolver, which featured an enlarged barrel to give it an advantage over handguns in close quarters combat. Despite this new threat, African Americans continued to be able to purchase guns in large numbers. This allowed them to form militias and resist white masters who attempted to disarm them.Gun chokes also functioned as a way for white supremacists and other right-wing groups to recruit young men into their ranks while suppressing gun ownership among black people. Gun chokers also played an important role in suppressing labor unions and political protests. As such, gun chokes have long been remembered as one of the darkest chapters in Oxford’s history.

Gun chokes are devices that are used to prevent the escape of fired cartridges from a firearm. Gun chokes are often made from metal or plastic, and they can be attached to either the barrel or the magazine. The device is inserted into the gun, and then it is tightened so that it impedes the flow of air out of the chamber. This prevents the cartridge from leaving the firearm, and it also makes it difficult for someone else to reload the weapon.

Gun chokes come from various methods of restraining a person's ability to shoot. Some common techniques include using a muzzle brake or stock, securing the firearm with a strap or harness, and using an arm covering such as a shoulder sling.

Oxford, Mississippi is a small town in Jackson County, Mississippi. The population was 2,562 at the 2010 census. Oxford is part of the Jackson Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was laid out in 1868 by General John Pemberton and named for his home country, Oxfordshire, England. It had a population of 306 in 1870 and 1,444 in 1900. In 1930 it had 3,521 residents and 924 businesses. The racial composition of Oxford during that time was 90% white and 10% black. In 1965 the US Supreme Court ruled that "one race cannot constitutionally be put into an exclusive category within one municipality." This decision made Oxford racially integrated on the basis of color rather than ethnicity or race alone. During the 1970s there were two murders committed here: one by Michael Jordan who played basketball for Ole Miss and another by later NBA player Julius Erving which led to protests from local African Americans against what they felt was a lack of cultural diversity among white people living here. However this trend stopped after community members formed organizations such as Hope for Change to provide support services to Black Residents instead of seeking revenge or retribution from offenders

Gun chokes are a type of choke that is used to restrict the air flow from a firearm. Gun chokes were originally designed to reduce the amount of fire that an individual can control, which was important in military and law enforcement applications. Today, gun chokes are often found on handguns and rifles, and are used to ensure accuracy and killability. There are many different types of gun chokes available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Here we will discuss the most common types of gun choke design and how they can be used in firearms. Types of Gun Choke Design There are three basic types of firearm choke designs: Positive Disconnect (PD), Negative Disconnect (ND), and Manual Firing Pin (MFP). Each has its own benefits and drawbacks, so it is important to understand which one is best suited for your particular application. Positive Disconnect Choke Design Positive disconnect Guns use a metal disk or bar as a choke device that connects directly to the barrel threads at either side of the muzzle. When firing, pressure builds up behind the disk/barrel connection until it finally bursts through the Ported Chamber opening created by the recoil spring(s) on your rifle or handgun. This type of choke is usually used for sporting purposes where less recoil is needed or when using high-powered rounds such as those fired from long guns (>50 yards). The disadvantage to this typeof choke is that it takes time for pressure building up behind the disk/barrel connection to burst through; therefore, it can be difficult to control fire rate during rapid draw or rapidfire situations. Additionally, positive disconnect chokes may not allow fully unrestricted air flow beneath them so they may not work well with certain firearms models or ammunition types. NegativeDisconnect Choke Design Negative disconnect Guns use two metal disks/bars connected via a threaded hole located near the muzzle endcap instead of connecting directly to barrels Threading allows more unrestricted air flow underneath these devices allowing them better compatibility with certain firearms models & ammunition types

The history of gun chokes goes back to the 1800s when they were used as a way to control firearms.
