They built their own rifles from wood and leather, called “i-shots”, which they used to hunt rabbits and squirrels on their family farm. When World War I came around, these rifle shooters decided to invest in guns instead of munitions because war was going to affect everyone’s lives soon. In 1919, the American Rifleman magazine published an article about how people could make their own shotguns using pieces of metal that they had lying around the house. This led to the creation of the Moss Point Shotgun Club where men would meet each week to buy new shotguns or discuss old ones being traded off or sold. It wasn’t until after World War II that shotguns became a common sight on rural farms across America because now there was reliable artillery ammunition available for them! bunch of us met up at moss point one night i think it was october 3rd 1950 some guy named anthony told us he had a shotgun we all went over there his place it was just a couple acres out lot kind of like this old chicken coop As gun laws changed throughout America during the years, so did how people enjoyed shooting small game. In 1945, when federal law changed again making it illegal to Possess any firearm without a license (or registration), Moss Point Gun Club president Anthony decided he needed some more firepower for his personal protection as well as hunting trips he took with his friends into neighboring states such as Alabama and Georgia . He started sourcing parts from local dealers and starting building what would become known as the Original 68 – an airgun that still uses today’s magazine fed system (and sometimes recoil spring) made from hardwood stock & Bakelite grips! Anthony also began selling reloadable magazines which allowed him keep track of his birds while away from home; something few other gun owners at this time could do! With this new arsenal at his disposal, Anthony quickly became one of South Mississippi’s most successful GUN OWNERSHIP legends!

Moss Point is a town in Jackson County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 5,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Memphis–MS Metropolitan Statistical Area. Moss Point is on the south side of the Mississippi River and is bordered by Greenwood to the east, Florence to the north, and Tupelo to the west. Moss Point was first settled in 1819 by General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his men as a place where they could rest after their tour of duty in Mexico City. The name "Moss Point" comes from a swamp near present-day Moss Landing on Holmes Bayou. In 1824, General Andrew Jackson sent Forrest's forces through Moss Point on their way to invade Mobile County. According to one source, Alfred Darrow – author of "The High Country" – spent some time in Moss Point while he was writing his book about Reconstruction; however no evidence exists that this actually happened. The original post office at Moss Landing served as an important stop for goods moving up and downriver during this time period; it opened on July 9, 1825 (the date that Mobile Register publically announced its secession from Alabama). In 1854, Jesse Owens won two gold medals at the Berlin Olympics in three events: running 400m hurdles (1948), long jump (1948), and triple jump (1948). This accomplishment helped launch African American self-consciousness into mainstream society for the first time ever outside of slavery/enslavement systems throughout much of America. After World War II ended with Japan's surrender and Korea becoming an independent country following partitioning of South Korea by Ulysses S. Grant and MacArthur—a time when American attitudes towards race had shifted dramatically—MossPoint experienced rapid growth due to military families returning home from service who brought with them new ideas about developing a black community within white limits while preserving Anglo culture and values dating back centuries ago which were still very strong in many parts of southern Mississippi today despite all efforts at integration over more than 50 years!

Moss Point was founded in 1829 by Captain Samuel Morse and his wife, Lydia. The town was named for General James A. Moss, who led an abortive Indian attack on the village in 1824. In 1836, Moss Point became a part of the federal government's Jackson Purchase and served as an arsenal until it was closed in 1865. From 1881 to 1905, Moss Point was home to the United States Coast Guard station at Belle Isle. The station is now a National Historic Landmark. In 1862, Confederate General Jubal Early attempted to march on Corinth, Mississippi but were thwarted by Union forces under General Robert Ewing. After the Battle of Corinth (1862), Confederate General Forrest arrived in Moss Point with 1,000 cavalry and set up camp there while he awaited relief from Confederate President Jefferson Davis. When Union forces arrived in time to stop Early's advance, Forrest moved his forces back to Tupelo and adopted the name "Moss Point" for his new stronghold. From 1865 until 1898, Moss Point enjoyed a heyday as a cotton plantation center with over 100 tenant-farming families living within walking distance of one another. Many well-known people from moss point including Jesse Owens attended or were involved with white nationalist meetings held here during that time period; however most residents considered themselves “Cotton Kings” because they engaged primarily in crop production rather than politics or racial prejudice.. After World War II ended and many African Americans regained their rights through legislation such as passage of the Civil Rights Act OF 1964 (the first such law passed by Congress after Reconstruction), much change took place in Moss Point due to its demographics: many black professionals left for larger cities during this time period while white primary residences continued unchanged into the 1970s and 1980s During Hurricane Katrinaravaged southeastern Louisiana on August 29th 2005; all along levees built around New Orleans support areas near Mobile Bayou where water levels had receded since Katrina struck late fall 2004; almost 500 homes (~30% of total) were destroyed or damaged beyond repair makingarations impossible without more data The citizens of Moss Point gathered together organized two days of community service cleaning local streets gutters painting paintings decorating yards replacing windows powerwashing sidewalks gardens landscape preparing food for distribution free will offerings flowers performed mass prayer ceremonies open houses inviting everyone inside not just business people only 40 people showed up we did some good things
