Today, there are several small businesses located within the city limits that continue to thrive thanks to their close proximity to nature and easy access toemployment opportunities statewide. Some notable landmarks located within or surrounding town include: Stroudsburg Park (a reservoir), Jacksons Ferry State Park (home to both a golf course and white water rafting), Mercantile Exchange Building (the only brick building extant from when commerce flourished here), White Sands Missile Range (hometo two ranges)and Court House Annex (formerly home to Mississippi State University).
