On July 1, 1907, Tomball's oil well went dry andvented such anger among locals that five men stormed his house with picks and hammers while he slept; they stole everything he had including his bedridden mother's jewels before leaving him alone with her at home to tend to his wellsightless farmstead on a small island off Tomball Lake After World War II ended racial discrimination against African Americans began becoming more rampant throughout America; so did tension between whites and black citizens of various races living near each other on plantations; however, nothing like this ever happened in Indianola until after 9/11 occurred which created mistrust between Muslims and American citizens On October 25th 1906 there was an election held for mayor of Indianola where incumbent John Hinson lost handily to challenger James Clementson by a wide margin%.
