Horn Lake is a census-designated place in Red River County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jackson metropolitan area. The name " Horn Lake" derives from a Sioux word meaning "bad water place." There are several waterfalls and lakes located in and around the community which make it a popular tourist destination for those who appreciate natural beauty. The first settler in Horn Lake was John Stephenson, who arrived in 1820. A post office called Horn lake was established in 1825, and remained open until 1906. The community took its name from nearby Hornsby Hill, which had been named for General Andrew Jackson's brother-in-law Colonel James Hogg (1775–1823). In 1881, the territorial government changed hands and became the new South Dakota Territory; as a result, most early settlers left for various reasons. Scope mounts are a type of firearm accessory that allow the user to adjust the perspective of a firearms optic by moving it from its default vertical position, which is about 36 degrees below horizontal, to any other desired orientation. There are two types of scope mounts: open-mounts and closed-mounts. Open-mounts typically attach directly to the barrel nut and allow you to rotate the optic around its upright axis, while closed-mounts require an adapter that attaches to one or more Picatinny rails and allows you to rotate it around its vertical axis. Open-mount Scope Mounting Instructions 1) Remove your battery cover (see photo). This will expose your tube on top of your rifle. 2) Place your rifle upside down on the battery cover with the front sight facing forward (the red arrow in photo points towards this location). The black circles at each end of your tube should point away from each other. If they do not, you need to reattach/replace them later! 3) use a clever bit of soldering called "battery connecter" This solder joint will hold onto both barrels nuts together once connected and prevent them from rotating independently when removed. It's important that this solder joint is tight so there's no movement during installation or removal! 4) unscrew all three screws holding your tubes together (visible in white arrows in photo). Be very careful not to remove any part of the tube! Once they're loose, simply twist them back into place using pliers or fingers until everything snaps into place (this can be done in multiple directions if needed). Don't over tighten - just snugly fit everything up until it feels nice and snug. You may want to leave some wiggle room in case you ever haveTo adjust elevation again... good! Now take off screw for adjusting elevation; reattach screw at bottom left corner on toptube housing." 5) reattach battery cover (black arrows pointing inwards), make sure optics are lined up properly before tightening screws once again 6) Tighten screws securely - be gentle! Now put gun back together and try shooting!

Horn Lake is a census-designated place in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 7,566 at the 2010 census. They named their community after the horns of an animal that they saw near their farmstead on the Illinois River. By 1907, only a few hundred residents remained in what would become known as "the Village." In 1916, a group of young men from nearby Corinth founded Horn Lake High School to serve students from Horn Lake and surrounding villages.
