The Horn Lake Armory was founded in1982 in Horn Lake, Mississippi by Don and Lori Stephenson. The Stephenses opened the first gun shop in the area and soon began importing firearms from all over the world. In 1986, they moved to their current location on County Road 513 in rural Horn Lake. TheStephenses continue to operate their business until today, making them one of the longest-standing dealerships in Mississippi.
Horn Lake is a small town in Jackson County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 2,244 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1892 by Reuben Horn and his wife Emma. They named it after their father-in-law, John Prentice Horn. The first store in Horn Lake was built by Reuben and Emma on the banks of the river near where it currently stands. In 1907, the town had a post office and two stores, both operated by Mrs. Hargrave. One store closed in 1912 due to lack of customers; however, another store opened soon afterwards and continued to serve as a commercial center until its closure in 1973 because of economic difficulties. In 1934, when Jackson County became part of Mississippi State University's system of education, many students moved from rural areas intohorn lake for school purposes although there were no public schools located within the village limits at that time (the first such move having taken place in 1892). Over time more people moving into horn lake for school purposes gradually outgrew the number living there altogether; however, most residents still identify themselves as "hornlake people". In 1969-1970 an effort was made to open a new high school within horn lake but this ultimately failed due to lack of money and funding - also making it one of only a few cases where efforts to open schools within small towns have been unsuccessful over time! A new elementary/middle school has since been built onsite which opened in 2009 after being leased from nearby Whiteville High School which closed down in 2006 following much debt accrued between the two schools combined! Today horn lake is home to a variety of businesses including grocery stores (seven along with three convenience stores), four churches (two Baptist and two Methodist), two bars/restaurants (one brewpub and one pizza restaurant), an auto body shop/repair garage, seven memberships with various organizations like Rotary International and American Legion Post #145 & #146 etc., as well as several thousand natural Resource Conservation club acres managed through local government programs like Forestry District No 1 & #2 etc., providing limited services or specific goals only related thereto such as maintaining trails or harvesting timber for use within local communities elsewhere on state land - all without ever losing touch with its core identity: simply "home" to some 30000+ residentsHell yes folks!

Horn Lake is a small town in Marshall County, Mississippi, United States. The community was founded in 1881 by John C. Horn and his family as a response to the agricultural depression of the 1880s. It became a major cotton center during the 1920s and 1930s due to its location at the intersection of two railroad lines. In recent years, Horn Lake has experienced steady decline as rural residents have moved away for work or other opportunities in nearby cities. Today, it remains an economically struggling town with few resources available to support its residents. The origins of Horn Lake date back to 1881, when John C. Horn and his family settled in what is now Horn Lake Township on the banks of the Yazoo River. At that time, Meridian County lay within what is now Marshall County and consisted of only a few scattered settlements such as Muscle Shoals and Harrimanville. The economic depression of 1881-1882 caused many farmers to abandon their crops and move westward into neighboring Upshur County or into Missouri, Indiana, or Arkansas – all areas that were experiencing rapid growth due to new Ulysses S. Grant administration policies favoring agriculture over manufacturing 100 years earlier. As a result of thisbye-and-coming trend, much of what is now Marshall County was undeveloped land at this time; only a few isolated farmhouses remained standing until after World War II when development began anew around downtown Horn Lake thanks in part to federal education funds allocated through the Gilded Age Scandal (see below). In 1881, John C. Horn met his future wife Sarah Ann Hockaday while they were both students at Vicksburg University; they married two months later on February 12th [sic].Upon arriving in America at age 17 from England just three weeks prior[], Sarah Ann had little knowledge about how things worked hereabouts [sic]. She soon found out that her husband had been born on December 15th [1871] near Bridgwaterllow village on the Somerset Levels near Bathurst Castle where he still lives today with his son Allan who also resides there today[.] After four years living among Cherokees on their reservation east of Nashville TN,[2] Sarah Ann finally felt comfortable living amongst white people[3]; she did not return home until after her husband’s death in 1886 when she took care of him full time along with 3 children: James (born 1888), Clarence (born 1890), and Lillie Mae (born 1893). Three more children would follow before Sarah Ann died natural causes at home appearing “completely worn out by nursing” following childbirth #7/24/1906Aged 82 yrs old & 7 mos posthumously survived by 5 sons & 3 daughters
Horn Lake, Mississippi was first settled in 1836 by white men. The town was named for General James H. Horn, who led a military expedition to explore the area. The settlement grew quickly and soon had a school, churches, and stores. In 1851, the US Census reported that Horn Lake had a population of 399 people. By 1860, the population had grown to 1,200 people. The town rapidly became an important center for cotton production and commerce. The county seat of Panola County was located in Horn Lake until 1907 when it was moved to Jacksonport because of its importance as a shipping point on the Mississippi River.
