After years of growth, Prentiss Brothers became one of the largest photographic equipment manufacturers in America before World War II when it merged with RCA Photofax Corporation to form Columbia Pictures Industries Inc.. Following World War II, Columbia Pictures Industries divested itself of its photography businesses and divisions into different corporations - most notably Sony Corp.'s Viacom Media Networks division - which eventually led to its current ownership by Comcast Corp.. During this time period, not all camera manufacturers had moved away from using glass plate negatives entirely towards digital technology; some continued to produce such devices well into the 21st century. For example, Kodak continued making Photography Products Division products up until 2003 when they transitioned over wholly to digital image capture devices under new ownership called KODAK EOS Digital Cameras Division..

Hernando is a town in Jackson County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 3,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jackson metropolitan area. The first school in Hernando was built in 1840 by Mrs. Anna Weems and taught grades one through twelve. In 1846, the community had only two dwellings and nineteen people. A post office called "Hernando" was established in February 1850; it continued operation until 1971. In 1870, a railroad station was constructed adjacent to the millrace that served both Hernando and nearby Starkville; this helped improve transportation which then allowed more people to inhabit Hernando during winter months when travel outside of Jackson County was difficult or impossible. By 1880, there were over 150 houses in Hernando with a population of 692 people living therein; this number increased to 1,063 by 1890 due largely to an increase in agricultural production which led to an increase in prices for goods produced within town limits (see History of Hernando). During World War I (1914-18), many residents aided their countrymen who fought on the front lines while others remained behind home providing food and munitions needed by their fellow citizens fighting abroad; many residents also volunteered their time working at local businesses such as stores or factories manufacturing materials used during war including munitions such as artillery shells or bullets.
