Additionally, many small companies sprung up throughout Hattiesburg during this time including JMC Paper Products which manufactured paper products such as toilet paper and tissue; Houlihan Lumber Company which produced lumber for homes and furniture; Armstrong Whitworth munitions company which manufactured artillery shells; Claiborne Tobacco Corporation who produced cigarettes; among others Today Hattiesberg
