Gulfport is a community located in the Gulfport-Biloxi metropolitan area in southeastern Mississippi. As of the 2010 census, its population was 21,816. The city is home to the Mississippi State University campus and various other cultural attractions. It has been called "the gun town of Mississippi." The first guns were made in Gulfport by local blacksmiths and hunters. By 1837, handguns were being manufactured in earnest by local whites as well. In 1849, an ordinance was passed banning handguns in all cities within the state of Mississippi. This ordinance did not apply to Gulfport however, because it was outside the state's borders at that time. In 1875, a law was passed regulating firearms within municipal limits of each municipality in Mississippi. This law allowed for handgun ownership by any person over the age of 21 who resided within that municipality and possessed a license from the local police department. In 1903, another ordinance was passed regulating firearms within municipal limits of each municipality in Mississippi again except for Gulfport which continued to have unrestricted handgun ownership privilege under its own ordinance from 1875 through 1903. In 1934, passage of the National Firearms Act grantedautomatic firearm registration to Americans over 19 years old with a valid Criminal Justice record check and $200 application fee. Registration became effective on July 1st 1934
Gun chokes are a type of choke that is used to restrain a person by blocking the air supply to their lungs. Gun chokes are most often used in shotguns and handguns, but can also be used in other firearms. The purpose of a gun choke is to prevent the shooter from breathing comfortably while firing. The choke comes in many different types, including standard shotgun chokes and handgun chokes. Standard shotgun choke tubes have one or two 18-gauge lines running through them, with one at each point of entry into the barrel. These lines allow the shot to pass easily through the barrel without being choked out. Pistol chokes use three 18-gauge lines instead of two, with one line running down the center of each chamber. This allows for more control over how much air is provided to your shotshell when you fire it, making it easier for you to hit your target cleanly every time. Gulfport is a city in Hinds County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 3,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hinds County. The first inhabitants of Gulfport were the Creeks and Asiatics who lived along the Mobile River before it became part of Spanish Louisiana in 1763. English colonists arrived in 1699 and built Fort Gulfport on what is now State Street. The area was called "Gulf port" because it served as a port for shipping goods to and from New Orleans during the French and Indian War (1754-1763). In 1812, when Jackson made his first exploratory trip through Mississippi, he named this new land "Mississippi". In 1824, a group of citizens from Biloxi founded the town of Gulfport on land that had been donated by John Davenport Sr., one of Jackson's advisors during his time as governor of Mississippi. After some struggles, Gulfport became an incorporated town on March 1, 1830. At its peak it had a population of around 930 people. By 1850, however, enrollment at Gulfport College had dropped to just thirty-six students due to competition from nearby Oxford University which had opened its doors two years earlier. However, within five years after its incorporation as a town – thanks largely to donations by local merchants – Gulfport had grown into one of the most important cotton ports in America with operations stretching out into Alabama and Tennessee as well as Mexico City and Havana. In 1862 Union General Ulysses S Grant landed at Port Hudson outside present day Jacksonville Beach and took control over much of southeastern Mississippi including Gulfport; henceforth it would be known as Jacksonville Landing Command District No 2 until 1865 when separate command districts were established for all military forces operating in southeast Mississippi includingJacksonville Landing Command District No 1 (now Monroe County). Although Union forces burned down many homes within Coastal Bend during their occupation (a practice known colloquially as 'burning down houses for fun'), many residents chose not to leave or flee because they believed that God would help them rebuild. resy soon after Confederate General Robert Ewell's army attacked Union positions at Harrisonburg on November 12th 1863; subsequent Confederate casualties forced Ulysses S Grant to abandon his assault on Jacksonville LandingCommand District No 2 completely instead moving towards Corinth Junction where he finally destroyed Confederate Army Major General James Longstreet's army under General Jubal Early on April 7th 1865 resulting in Southern victory at BattleOfPort Hudson which effectively ended Reconstruction across much eastern Louisiana following the American Civil War

Despite these positive developments, GCCP remains an important cultural and historical center in Mississippi due to its rich history and many iconic buildings
Gulfport was founded in 1855 as a small fishing village on the mouth of the Pearl River. The town quickly became a center for cotton production and commerce, and by 1890 it had reached its present size. The town was named after Capt. John G. Gulf, who explored and mapped the area in 1839-40.
