By 1940, it had reached 3,000 residents; but World War II interrupted any further growth due to the war's impact on agriculture in Mississippi overall and on local businesses particularly those involved with military production. After 1945, many local African American leaders emerged as leaders within Republican Party politics in Jackson County – including Averell Harriman – helping Clintons grow steadily through the late 20th century into what it now stands as one ofMississippi's most racially diverse communities.* Clinton experienced some major changes during the 21st century:* In 2005–2006 Barack Obama served two terms as president of America’s most populous state;* Hillary Rodham Clinton unsuccessfully ran for office again in 2016;* The city annexed neighboring townships along Interstate 10 between 2006-2009;* As part of reconstruction efforts following Hurricane Katrina (2005), Community Development Financial Institutions partnered with Redevelopment Authority to provide loans totaling $27 million towards development projects within Clinton’s borders; * Recently there has been discussion about increasing development activity around downtown streets leading up Broadway Avenue which could account for some decreased property values near downtown since that area has seen more recent construction activity (specifically high-end condos).

When he reached town,Jackson found that there were no British troops present and instead he discovered that they had fled! He realised that this could be an opportunity if he could capture them before they could reinforcements arrive. So Jackson made his way back upriver and destroyed all of the boats used by the British soldiers before marching back into town square where he met with local leaders to discuss strategy. It was decided that General Jackson would assault the British positions from two sides: from behind and from across the river using smallboats manned by men disguised as Indians or raiders known as “Black Jacks” due to their aggressive behavior towards enemy troops. This plan worked perfectly until one day when a large force led by General John Armstrong arrived at town supply depot just in time for dinner! Armstrong's unit quickly overwhelmed any small boats available for fighting and routing out all of the defenders! This success allowed Armstrong's army to move northward towards Mobile where they finally crushed Canada's main army under General Richard Montgomery on July 4th, 1813 - ending war in America once and for all! This measure led to great tension between white abolitionists and their black counterparts in America. In 1861, when Confederate forces invaded America, Clinton was one of the few cities to support the Confederacy. The city surrendered three days later after successfully fighting off repeated Union advances.
