Brandon is a city in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 3,924 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hancock County. Today's downtown area is home to many small businesses as well as restaurants and bars which are popular among locals and tourists alike because of its lively atmosphere - much like old-time Brandon when it was still an important stop on stagecoach routes between Jackson City (now Jackson) and Tupelo (then called Vicksburg).
